Really unique place. Just what we wanted @ Venice. Highly recommend it.
We had a great stay at this Bohemian home. It was a lovely break from hotel rooms to find ourselves in such a quirky home with fantastic roof top garden and Jacuzzi. Great selection of vinyl records and a piano to play. Hostess was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend a visit here.
Lisa was a great host. She tried everything she can to make herself available and was willing to answer any question I had. The house itself was really cozy and near the beach. Really comfy stay.
Lisa sent all the house details in an email and was very thorough which made staying there easy. She was constantly available for questions too. Her house was as described, fantastic little get-away!
It was like spending few days in a friend's house, Lisa is really nice and helpful ! La maison est très agréable dans son style, elle fait très cocon au milieu de toute l'activité de Venice, un petit havre de paix.
Lisa was a wonderful host and we very much enjoyed our stay at her home. It's very easy to feel at home here and the rooftop patio is the perfect place to hang out on a warm southern Cal afternoon. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great stay in Venice.
Great location. Very cool rooftop patio and lounge area with jacuzzi above back garage/studio space. The rooftop area is over an occupied studio that is also a separate space with a private back patio separating two living spaces.
The house itself is charming but does not sleep 6 as advertised. It is a 2 bed, 1 bath: master and smaller second bedroom
for small kids or 1 adult. Host provided air mattress to compensate for smaller bed and pull out couch in living room as options.
Also, travelers be wary host lives there so there are no extra dressers for clothes and things. The fridge/freezer pretty full so bring coolers or plan accordingly. The studio in back was not listed as part of rental option but would be the perfect space for a second couple ( extra bathroom, shower, tv-cable, sink)
I think the space is cute and would be awesome if the occupied studio were part of package rental deal going forward. It was very pricey for the set up as advertised without the studio for 4 adults and kid.
Hey Steve, Thanks for your review! We have reduced our prices since your stay, since you were here over New Year's Eve, and were paying a holiday premium. In addition, we don't charge a cleaning fee for stays over 2 nights so our price is quite competitive. I knew when you we received your note that our place is "roots", that you would feel at home! I was surprised that you felt our 2nd bedroom was too small-it has a standard double bed as advertised. When you asked to use our studio space (which was vacant at the time), and I asked for a small extra charge ($50), then even lowered the price ($25) you chose not to take it. When I told you that we had interested renters for the studio you were upset that anyone would be back there (although it was advertised as occupied ). I then offered to let you just use the studio free of charge, refusing plentiful offers for New Year's Eve rentals since you were paying holiday prices for our home and I wanted you to be happy. Still the studio remained unused. Nonetheless, I'm really glad you enjoyed our home and roof deck!
