It was pretty cold and noisy, so might not be the best for a night's sleep if you're not a hardened budget traveller, but if you get both heaters sorted out then the temperature's okay.
However the mattress is comfortable enough, the people seemed pretty friendly and helpful (I only met them briefly), and the price is good for something that's still pretty central. There are lots of nice delis and restaurants in the area, but it's also not far to Manhattan if you're a tourist (like I was) and that's mainly where you're going to be hanging out.
It was interesting having the art there too. My favourite was 'Liquid'.
Great experience. The bed was comfortable, the art show strong, the vibe welcoming. Woke up refreshed.
It was super interesting and fun. Cool neighborhood. The guys at the gallery are as weird and fun as the gallery is, too! No shower tho! Maybe you can get one of them to let you into their shower but it didn't work out for me. I had to use a friend's shower :(
It was a really nice experience to sleep in an art gallery. Nice to have your own entrance and a lot of space! The heather wasn't working yet so the nights were really cold and the building is situated next to a high way so lots of noise from trucks etc, but with earplugs it's fine. Over all, good area, near tube station F and G line, which were perfect for me. I really enjoyed staying at this place!!
