Other things to note
My husband is an artist and I am a writer. We are minutes away from the major thoroughfare of highway 275, yet far enough away that highway noise is never heard. We love people, the arts, and I love to cook, bake bread and share recipes. Our home is an eclectic combination of art, antiques, books, comfort and is a peaceful getaway close to beaches, restaurants, night life, music, Busch Gardens, the Yankee's Spring training Stadium, Legends Field, as well as other spring training facilities. The Lightning Hockey Team, museums, art galleries, Ybor City are all assets that Tampa has to offer. We are also about an hour from Orlando's Disney, Universal and about 30 minutes from the Hard Rock Casino. Whatever you're looking for, be it a peaceful getaway or a fun time of entertainment and shopping, it's all here!

We are located in Seminole Heights, the home of the new foody/wine/craft and mucrobreweries, proliferation of independent eating and drinking spots, known as "The Heights". Our area has become" the IT spot in Tampa with dozens of existing restaurants, bars and food businesses crowded along N. Florida and N.Nebraska avenues, and more are poised to debut this spring." Quoted from Tampa Bay Times article, "Greater Heights", March 11, 2015. To see article in full go to (URL HIDDEN)
We are ten minutes from downtown Tampa, 30 minutes to local beaches and minutes from many local restaurants and attractions. Our neighborhood is a beautifully tree lined oasis in Tampa, one block from the Hillsborough River. There are three small parks in our immediate neighborhood along the river, many places to walk and jog, and within one mile of excellent local restaurants and shops.

I am a writer first, an artist second. I have developed my art and writing through my years in NY, Vermont, California and Florida. Tim and I are both artists and writers. Our home is our little art colony so there are always on-going art, writing, art shows and projects we are involved in and enjoy sharing with friends and guests. We both love Tampa and enjoy the special secrets of all of our great restaurants, walks, beaches, hideaways and historical, art, entertainment and city events with others. The Hillsborough River is a block away from the Wren's Nest, great for viewing the manatees and alligators. The setting of our home is in a natural Florida landscaped garden. Tim's art is displayed in several different restaurant galleries in downtown Tampa. My work, published in the Pages of My Life Anthology by Breath and Shadows Press is also a USF Center for the Aging textbook requirement. We are very "people oriented" hosts and would love to provide you with as much information to make your stay with us perfect. Tea or coffee served in the mornings, along with cereals, breads and fruit. We look forward to making our home your private getaway!
