Nicola's apartment was exactly as described, in my opinion even better than described, i wanted to move in.
I was comfortable, cozy, and quiet. The shower was excellent, plenty of hot water and good pressure.
So was finding bottled water and a couple beers in the mini-fridge.
The location is great, walking distance to most everything. There are some good restaurants very nearby and Nicola thoughtfully left an info sheet of her favorites.
I rented a bike and was able to explore the city with my daughter who lives in new orleans.
No need to look further, Nicola's place is the one for me.
Wonderful location for our needs! Nicola was easy to get ahold of and flexible of our schedule. Clean and quiet place! Would love to stay again if we are back in New Orleans.
We stayed here for our first visit to New Orleans. Nicola was responsive and accommodating. She left welcome beers and water in the fridge.
The house was very clean and well kept. The shower was great. We had no trouble parking on the street right in front of the house.
The location was ideal too. We were within walking distance (it is a long walk, but a fun one) to the French Quarter and were able to enjoy quiet evenings away from the madness when we returned to Nicola's peaceful spot.
We had a wonderful time during our five night stay at Nicola's. Her house is so charming, spacious and comfortable. Upon arrival we each enjoyed the lovely local Abita Restoration Ale in the fridge-- that set the tone for the week! We enjoyed walking ALL over New Orleans, but really took a liking to the restaurants and people in her neighborhood. Frenchman Street was a short walk and the live music all along there was a highlight for us. We felt safe and super comfortable our entire stay. We hope to come back and stay with Nicola again. Thank you for your hospitality, Nicola!
Fantastic apartment in a lovely neighborhood.
Good restaurants nearby and approximately $10 with the taxi to downtown.
The correspondence with Nicola was easy and very pleasant.
Our stay in Nicola's home was charming because we went during mardi gras and the neighbourhood is a perfect place to see the real atmosphere of it, where people wear home-made costumes, not something they have bought in a shop. So it was a real good experience and the appartment was an oasis during the rainy and the crowded city... calm, quiet and beautiful ! It was a wonderful place to stay, I will come back here for sure. Thank you Nicola !
Nicola's home was one of the most comfortable experiences I've had staying in a new city! Her private guest apartment is charming, cozy, and has all the needed amenities including a private bathroom, a couch and mini-living room, and a mini fridge where Nicola had even left a couple of bottles of water and beer to welcome us. The neighborhood is equally charming with fresh & diverse eateries just a block away and extremely quiet streets, perfect for a good-night sleep.
She also had city +event guides available as well as brochures for useful services like bike rental (a must to get around New Orleans easily!). The house is about a 20 minute walk to Frenchmen street (live music!) and about 35 minutes to walk the French Quarter area along beautiful streets. For other parts of the city, a bike is great!
We loved rending from Nicola and will do it again next time we're in town!
A great place in a great location, within walking distance of the main sites but in a real locals area. Nicola recommended some great local places to eat and the 2 beers in the fridge on arrival were very welcome. We liked the place and location so much we wanted to stay another night after arriving, but unfortunately someone else had beaten us to it. Very highly recommended.
Very comfortable and appealing one-bedroom apartment that was perfectly located for exploring the laid-back Bywater neighborhood. Some truly great restaurants, cafes and bars nearby. An easy walk to the music spots on Frenchmen street. Host Nicola was very welcoming and flexible with our schedule. Highly recommended.
5 stars! Everything we needed in a BnB, including an invisible host who's attentive to communication.
