The Doremifasol is a gem, tucked away in the leafy enclave of Montclair. My husband had recently been offered a new job in Manhattan and we wanted to look at the possibility of relocating to Montclair. The home's location is perfect for commuting into midtown. The Doremifasol-la is a comfortable and stylish house in a beautiful, tree-lined and quiet residential neighbohood. Anna could not possibly be more welcoming. She respected our family's privacy while at the same time providing friendly conversation when it was appropriate. She went above and beyond what one would expect for a host. For instance, she awoke early on our first morning so that she could walk my husband to the bus stop. The choices available for breakfast are extensive and delicious and Anna is a wonderful cook. There is parking on the premises and Anna offered to move my car if another guest's car was blocked, which happened a few times. I appreciated this gesture. Everyone in the family especially enjoyed our conversations with Anna about her childhood in Poland, architecture, theatre, literature and life. She also spoke to my daughter about her time at university and her career as an architect. Anna is an extraordinary person and I would highly recommend the Doremifasol-la to friends and family.
While visiting family in the area, I enjoyed my stay at Anna's lovely home. Anna is a very genuine, kind, bright woman with a beautiful spirit that is easy to connect to. She immediately made me feel right at home and was eager to help in any way to ensure that I had a pleasant stay. Quiet location in a nice area with greenery everywhere. The home is filled with beautiful art. I'd happily stay there again during my future visits.
Located on a quiet and serene block in Montclair, The Doemifasol-la is warm and inviting. The home is extremely comfortable. It's full of visual art, an eclectic array of literature, and distinct charm. As beautiful as the house is, the unquestioned star attraction of the house is Anna. You quickly go from feeling like a welcomed guest to more like a long absent friend. She is attentive and engaging. Rarely have we encountered a kinder, more generous spirit than that which is possessed by Anna. Her healthy and delicious breakfast filled our bellies as her humanity filled our hearts. Thank you Anna, and see you soon. Tracy
A stay (two nights) at Doremifasol-la in Montclair in an attractive host home with easy access to Manhattan and
other locations in New Jersey worked well.
We had a wonderful stay with Anna! Her home is as lovely and gracious as she is herself, and we were made to feel so very comfortable and welcome. My children, who were with me, told everyone they saw how very nice she is. And I had the very best sleep I've had in years. Conveniently located to New York City, but not IN the city, this is a great location for those who want a bit more peace than they might find in Manhattan. We loved every minute and will plan to return.
We were looking the place from Montclair and found this lovely place. Anna was good host and was very helpful. We were able to check in our stuff day before we move in. Also she was helping with moving us by car. You dont have to have car if you choose this place, but we recommend that you have. It was a quite walk to trainstation and to grocery store, but you can survive without car also. Anna was a good host and doesnt bother your live at all.
I had an incredible stay at Anna's beautiful house in Montclair, NJ. Not only was she such a gracious and hospitable host, but her house was very welcoming and cheerful. I thoroughly enjoyed my cozy room where I had a desk, closet, and bureau. I had a wonderful bed in which Anna voluntarily washed the sheets for me two weeks into my stay. She made the most exquisite oatmeal I have ever tried and never hesitated once to let me borrow anything from her. Anna is such an interesting women, who grew up in Poland and is able to speak so many languages. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and stay in this extraordinary house with an exceptional host where I had an unforgettable summer.
