Modernized Cape-Cod style one-family home on a quiet, lushly wooded street in Montclair, approx. 12 miles west from Manhattan. What I offer my guests is the following:

• Two lovely bedrooms (one bedroom sleeps 4, the other 2)
• 1 full bath
• Internet and wifi
• Anna's Magical Breakfast (OJ, whole-groats oatmeal with a mound of berries and fruit, yogurt, wholesome toast and/or croissant, brie, jam, coffee and tea etc)
• Use of kitchen ($5 extra/day after breakfast ), living room, dining room and wood deck overlooking a lush back yard
• An altogether unique and charming atmosphere and as much caring attention from me as you need to make your stay a success which may even include drawing and painting lessons, per special arrangement.

A queen size bed + 2 single beds in one large room and 1 double bed in the other (the configuration may vary per need).
There is enough room in my driveway to park four guest cars.

Montclair is a one-of-a-kind incredibly artsy and exciting town with lots of places to eat, shops, galleries, seven parks by Olmstead Brothers, four open public swimming pools, two ice-skating arenas, art museum (art classes), historic homes and iris gardens, Peak (email hidden) and International Film Festival in local theatres sponsored by Stephen Colbert, just to name a few attractions. The short commute to NYC clinches the pleasure of staying in this unique town.

  • While visiting family in the area, I enjoyed my stay at Anna's lovely home. Anna is a very genuine, kind, bright woman with a beautiful spirit that is easy to connect to. She immediately made me feel right at home and was eager to help in any way to ensure that I had a pleasant stay. Quiet location in a nice area with greenery everywhere. The home is filled with beautiful art. I'd happily stay there again during my future visits.

  • Located on a quiet and serene block in Montclair, The Doemifasol-la is warm and inviting. The home is extremely comfortable. It's full of visual art, an eclectic array of literature, and distinct charm. As beautiful as the house is, the unquestioned star attraction of the house is Anna. You quickly go from feeling like a welcomed guest to more like a long absent friend. She is attentive and engaging. Rarely have we encountered a kinder, more generous spirit than that which is possessed by Anna. Her healthy and delicious breakfast filled our bellies as her humanity filled our hearts. Thank you Anna, and see you soon. Tracy

  • A stay (two nights) at Doremifasol-la in Montclair in an attractive host home with easy access to Manhattan and
other locations in New Jersey worked well.

  • We had a wonderful stay with Anna! Her home is as lovely and gracious as she is herself, and we were made to feel so very comfortable and welcome. My children, who were with me, told everyone they saw how very nice she is. And I had the very best sleep I've had in years. Conveniently located to New York City, but not IN the city, this is a great location for those who want a bit more peace than they might find in Manhattan. We loved every minute and will plan to return.

  • We were looking the place from Montclair and found this lovely place. Anna was good host and was very helpful. We were able to check in our stuff day before we move in. Also she was helping with moving us by car. You dont have to have car if you choose this place, but we recommend that you have. It was a quite walk to trainstation and to grocery store, but you can survive without car also. Anna (email hidden) and doesnt bother your live at all.

    Response from Anna:

Weekend trains stop at a train station further away from the house than on weekdays (which is 15 min. walk). I recommend using buses during weekends.

  • I had an incredible stay at Anna's beautiful house in Montclair, NJ. Not only was she such a gracious and hospitable host, but her house was very welcoming and cheerful. I thoroughly enjoyed my cozy room where I had a desk, closet, and bureau. I had a wonderful bed in which Anna voluntarily washed the sheets for me two weeks into my stay. She made the most exquisite oatmeal I have ever tried and never hesitated once to let me borrow anything from her. Anna is such an interesting women, who grew up in Poland and is able to speak so many languages. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and stay in this extraordinary house with an exceptional host where I had an unforgettable summer.

  • I completely felt like my home away from home. We were treated more like extended family rather than guests by Anna. We enjoyed our conversation along with delicious breakfast a lot. The rooms were neat, clean and spacious. Anna was also very helpful in booking another reservation for us through air bnb and ensuring it was upto the mark.

We would definitely recommend Anna place to all out frd, relatives and/or associates. We also recommend the place to all people on airbnb

    Merci Anna
    A bientôt j'espère

  • Anna was a wonderful hostess! We had an absolutely lovely stay in the Doremifasol-la in Montclair.

Not only did she help us find our way to New York City, but she also provided an outstanding breakfast. The oatmeal was TO DIE FOR! Such a lovely lady, the only regret we had was that we couldn't stay longer. Highly recommend!

  • We enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Anna's place. She gave us a warm welcome, prepared a hearty breakfast of oats, fresh berries, cheese, yogurt, and shared delicious conversation and croissants with melted chocolate from Poland and French press coffee. Our bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the books, the artwork and the nearby restaurants in Montclair - Cuban Pete's and Manginni's. Would definitely return.
