What a wonderful way to ring in the New Year! Though it is an Airstream and of course quite small, spending time in an Airstream is a neat experience. The posting advertises all the amenities accurately; we didn't want for anything while we were there for two nights. Whitt's beautiful deck built around the Airstream is awesome too; we spent a great deal of time around the fire staring up at the sky and relaxing.
Whitt was an excellent host. He was communicative and his directions and overall correspondence was open and clear. He was around when he said he would be for checking in and out, he walked us through the property, and he clearly knows everything like the back of his hand. And bonus, we had to restart the hot tub (recommended, by the way) at one point, and he picked up his phone to guide us through it at 9 pm on New Years Eve! What service!
Whitt lead us up to the Airstream and showed us around. It was exceptionally well-appointed, thought out, and cozy on a bitterly cold mountain night. They had a starter log ready for their fire pit and a hot tub for us (if we had only remembered to bring our swimsuits). We brought food to cook and they had everything we needed there in the Airstream. And then I was dumb enough to get my car stuck leaving and Whitt came by with his tractor to pull me out. To say they were friendly and helpful would be a gross understatement.
We stayed for one night - and it wasn't enough! We arrived the day before Christmas Eve and Whitt pulled up seconds later to show us to the Airstream. The Airstream was clean, cozy, and the location couldn't be better with a great view. Great hosts, wonderful stay - next visit will be longer!
My boyfriend and I came to stay at the Dawn Treader before the rush of holidays with friends and family. It was perfectly cozy, with magical views and fresh food that we happily cooked. We loved the porch and chimenea, and took a dip in the hot tub to enjoy a star-filled sky. We can't wait to return, and to bring our friends and stay in the Yurt!
The Dawn Treader Airsteam is magical. Whit and Martha, as well as Will, who works on the farm, and all of their animals, are truly amazing. It is a perfect weekend getaway and very inspirational to see so many fruitful projects happening. The Airstream has been renovated extremely well, the fit pit, hot tub, and nature walk are lovely, and the tour of the farm is incredible. Thank you for everything! We loved it!
Whitt was absolutely welcoming and helpful in showing us around the property and the Dawn Treader. We felt prepared and knowledgeable with our surroundings all while having room to explore further!
Could not have asked for a more perfect stay. Thank you so much Whitt and Martha!

I am a retired executive Chef who has worked in all types of hospitality environments for 35 years. Managing a small country Inn and restaurant for 12 of those years has given me ample experience to create and manage our unique Yurt B&B as well as our other lodgings. My family and I are in process of creating a self supporting and sustainable farm homestead and lodgings and we offer welcome to one and all. In addition to our enterprises we are grateful stewards of 60 acres of spectacular mountain land, most of which is as undisturbed as possible with an easily accessible nature trail winding throughout the property. As a working farm we also have a multitude of gentle critters and an abundance of home grown foods.
Having grown up in Hawaii I know well about relaxing and enjoying life and all it has to offer, and believe we have created a place where everyone can share in the same.
