B&B with 2 boutique 'Parisian-style' suites in upscale 'Oud Zuid' also known as the Museum district, famous for its shops, restaurants, and of course museums (Rijksmuseum & Van Gogh oa) & lovely Vondelpark. The suites both have a fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom, sitting area, WiFi, iPod dockingstation and TV.
B&B Petit Paris has two separate suites:
'The Yellow Suite' and 'The Blue Suite'.
The yellow suite is pictured in this listing, for the blue suite please check our other listing: B&B Petit Paris 'The Blue Suite'.
The style in which the B&B is decorated is somewhat like Paris from the old days. The atmosphere is a bit like one of the boutique hotels Paris is famous for and has plenty of. Hence the name...
The yellow suite, pictured in this listing, is a very cosy studio apartment with a comfortable double bed, a fully equipped kitchen with Nespresso machine, sitting area, walk-in-bathroom with rainshower, free Wifi, TV and an iPod docking station with radio & alarm clock.
Breakfast is not included, but there are several options open to you. You can either make it in your own kitchen with a freshly brewed Nespresso in your hand, you can go out to one of the many breakfast places in the neighbourhood (the closest is across the street), or we can make you a full English breakfast, which we'll serve in your room. Weather permitting, you can also have your breakfast in our family garden. The additional cost for breakfast is €12,50 p.p. Please just let me know in advance is you want to make use of this option.
The suites are situated in the souterrain of the house. Guests will have the keys to the house & their suite, so they can come and go as they please. We, my family (husband, two teenage sons and Doedel, our happy dog) and I live in in the house as well, on the main & 1st floor, so we'll share the front door. This area is mainly private, but you can always knock on the door if you have any questions or whatsoever. The house has a garden, which you are free to share with us.
Interaction with guests
Me or my husband, Hein, will welcome you upon arrival, and will tell you all about the B&B, the area and all the nice, cool, touristy and/or off the beaten track places to go to in Amsterdam, including tips on how to get around (by foot, bike or tram). During your stay we will help in any way we can to make your visit to Amsterdam a wonderful one.
I'm the owner of B&B Petit Paris. Besides the B&B I have my own interior decorating company. I used to work for some of the leading magazines in the Netherlands (o.a. Living, LINDA.), which gave me the opportunity to share my love for 'finding places'; restaurants, shops, markets, and of course the little unknown places off the beaten track. I can now hopefully share that with you. If you have any questions at all, about the B&B or Amsterdam, please don't hesitate to drop me line.
Hope to welcome you here soon!
