The Wren’s Nest is a perfect tiny woodland retreat, found half way up the wild valley of Nant Gwyddil in SW Wales, part of Penpynfarch: A barn conversion at one end of the 300 year old stone farm buildings. A simple feel with a stained wooden floor and natural materials of wood and slate. Faces the woodland valley with beautiful views of the tree canopy and birds soaring above it.
A stay here offers a chance for real peace and seclusion, for enjoying nature and this beautiful corner of Wales.

The space
A small double bedroom, Living room (with a Hideaway single sofabed), a fully equipped kitchen area,
Bathroom with a walk-in shower and a Separett indoor composting toilet.
Central heating.
Wi-fi Broadband access.

Guest access
Walks in the valley, at your doorstep. Wild swimming in and picnics by our lake. Paddling in the stream. Fires and BBQs outdoors. Llandysul, the local village is walkable along the old railway line.
You can also hire the Studio (bare space with lots of light & underfloor heating) for any creative activity, or yoga or meditation.
We're 1/2 hr drive from the Cardigan Bay coast so you can pop down to Llangrannog, Penbryn or New Quay easily, or explore the other way in Brechfa forest trails etc. Penpynfarch is pretty much equal distance from the university town of Lampeter, and the market towns of Newcastle Emlyn and Carmarthen.

Other things to note
No television. Mobile reception only on higher ground.

Re bringing a pet: You're welcome with your family dog - it's a great place to enjoy the outdoors with your pet! We have a nominal charge of £2/night/ dog, payable on arrival please. Bring dog bedding as dogs are not allowed on beds, armchairs or sofa. Thank you for observing this house rule.
