We're usually pretty flexible on checking you in and out, so if you need other timings, just ask and we'll try to make it work.
We're friends with a bicycle shop around the corner who usually gives a good price, if you tell the owner that Julie & Nikolai sent you.
We're pretty flexible on check-in and check-outs, so just ask and we'll figure somehting out. The wooden floors don't like high heels too much, so please do all the dancing carefully...
There's a boiling water tap you can use, just turn the knob and 100C water will flow.
There's a washing machine with detergent you can use and a dryer if you don't want to wait around for it to dry.
We have plenty of spices and basic cooking stuff that you're welcome to use when cooking in.
All in all, just be careful and considerate, but do exploit the apartment to its full potential.
Our experience at Julie's apartment in Copenhagen was everything we hoped for, and more! It is well located for exploring the city on foot, since most major sights are within 15 minutes walking distance and the M and S trains have stops less than 10 minutes away.
The foodie mecca "Torvehallerne" is 5 minutes away, so we were able to buy local fish, veggies, fruit, cheese and enjoy them at the dining table or on the terrace. We especially enjoyed Julie's well-equipped kitchen. We ate lunch out, but ate breakfast & dinner at the apartment almost very day--the refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, knives were all top notch, so it was a pleasure.
Julie's place includes notes and advice plus many guidebooks--which were very helpful in finding non-touristy, reasonably priced restaurants and places to visit.
Julie was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay--we got answers almost instantly to any questions we had. We would definitely try to stay here again the next time we visit Copenhagen.
They are super sweet and flexible.. And my Canadian parents in law loved the place..
We came to Copenhagen for a family vacation and also to help my brother to install himself there.
Nicolaï was really kind to pick us up at the subway station Norreport and to take the time to show us around on the way to his appartment.
The appartment is simply beautiful in à cosy danish style, a large living room, 2 nice bedrooms, with one with a nice balcony and in bonus a view to the lake from the living room! It is also well equiped ! Julie and Nikolaï allowed you to use as you needed !
The localisation is perfect to visit and to stay in calm : 5-10mins walk from Norreport Station, 15mins walk to the city center and easy to go where ever you like !
If you needed, Julie made a superb home guide and city guide to places they like to go ! Avoiding expensive tourist restaurants... It was perfect to guide us...
Whatelse can I say more beside : "Thank you very much"
My husband and I stayed in Julie's apartment for one week in mid-August during our trip to Europe. My sister joined us for most of that week, so she could also enjoy a trip to Copenhagen. Julie's apartment met all of our expectations. We found the apartment to be very well located and we actually walked to many of the places we visited - National Museum, Tivoli Gardens, Nyhavn for the canal cruises, etc. It is very close to the metro and so easy to get to from the airport. The apartment itself has a wonderful open and light filled living space - kitchen/dining/living area. The balcony off the living space looks out over the water. Both bedrooms have very comfortable queen sized beds. The bedroom with the balcony is particularly bright and airy. The bathroom was a decent size - we've certainly experienced smaller in our travels. Despite comments in a previous review, we found the apartment to be clean and certainly couldn't detect any hint of a bad smell. There were also fresh flowers throughout the apartment upon our arrival. Although we didn't get to meet Julie who was in Colombia, her friend Ina did a wonderful job of greeting us and getting us settled. As other reviews have mentioned, Julie was extremely easy to communicate with and even checked in with us while on her vacation. Also her tips on cafes, bars, and restaurants certainly added to our experience of Copenhagen. Thank you Julie!
Had a great stay in beautiful CPH. Julie Elina'sand Nickolai's apartment was spacious and immaculate. The balcony in the evenings overlooking the Lakes as the summer sun went down was the perfect end to our days of cycling adventure in the city and beyond. The apartment is the perfect location to walk to the bustling Israels Plads and the excellent restaurants and bars of Nansensgade. A walk over the bridge to Restaurant Radio to indulge in new Nordic cuisine at its affordable best is a must. Heather, Andy and their twin 13year old daughters cannot recommend this Air BNB experience any higher. Exceptional.
I stayed at Julie and NIkolai's place for 4 days in early August. We found the apartment to be spacious and clean. A previous review had suggested that it was not clean and we did not find this to be the case.
We also loved the view for the patio over the lakes. we immediately sat down and had a glass of wine on the deck to watch the sunset. We took advantage of Julie's recommendations for places to visit in the neighborhood and were not disappointed. I was also pleasantly surprised to find a local beer cafe with Mikkeller and other local beers on tap.
After having roamed Copenhagen for four days, I was happy to have the nice little neighborhood of Nansengade right outside the apartment. Groceries were extremely convenient twitch the Spar store within steps.
Interactions with Julie have been so pleasant I'm just sad that she was in Columbia and that we didn't get to meet.
The apartment is reasonably well located. That is the positive.
The negatives are as follows: it is described as luxurious, it is not even close. The apartment is dirty and not well kept. There is chipping paint and brownish dirt on the walls. The beds are small and not comfortable. The bathroom is tiny and the shower is sub-par. The apartment had a bad smell to it.
My family and I wanted to leave about 5 minutes after we arrived. Unfortunately, the only available hotel we could find in Copenhagen was at the airport which we decided was simply too far.
One night the next door neighbour had a big party and as much as we requested some peace, at almost 1:00 am the party was still going on with extremely loud music and smoking in the hallway which came into "our" apartment. The host was not very responsive to our calls and texts asking for help remedying the situation.
This was a bad experience for my husband and I and our three children. Fortunately we managed to spend as little time as possible in this (website hidden) the reservation experience began on a bad note because the host originally said the apartment was available for the entire 9 days we needed it. After we agreed, she came back to say she had rented out part of it for the first 3 days leaving us to figure out an alternative plan.
We feel that we have to clear up a bit of factual points in Patricia’s
1. - The apartment does not “have a bad smell”. There is no smell.
Well, sometimes it smells like flowers and fresh baked bread. So if you’re
ok with that, there should be no problem.
2. - The apartment is remarkably clean and well kept. Please read any
of the other 35+ reviews for second opinions on this.
3. - The beds are queen size as described and very comfortable. Too
comfortable, some people complain…
4. - The shower is above par. But sure, it’s not exactly a tropical
waterfall with cascades of fun. But it does have hot, running water and a
spacious niche that most people seem to like.
5. - Partricia never let us know that she was unhappy with anything
in the apartment and we had no chance of finding out what all this was
It is true however, that there was indeed a 30th birthday at the neighbor’s
on a Friday night. We actually managed to make the people leave the party
around 23.30 and make the neighbor make a friendly apology and give
Patricia’s family some wine next morning for the inconvenience. We have now
made an agreement with the neighbor that he will completely respect when
there are Airbnb visitors and keep any noise to a minimum.
