What a cute cottage. Very clean and tidy with some nice updating in the bathroom and kitchen - just the right size for 2 people. Now that we know where it is located it will be easier to find the next time we visit - and we will definitely be back! It really is nestled away in the trees, which was nice and serene. The neighborhood has very nice homes and was very quiet. Lots of great restaurants in the area to choose from. Momoya Sushi & Sake was good and Mercurys Coffee Co was a wonderful alternative to Starbucks! Thank you again, Stefan, for providing a nice home away from home feeling in Lake Forbes Cottage. We look forward to returning.
Stefan was great! He responded promptly and was so kind and welcoming! The place was beautiful and the area was nice and quiet. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for my visit to Washington.
This is the second time we have stayed at Forbes Cottage. We like the privacy and having a kitchen to ourselves. Everything is clean and in working order. There are some nice walks nearby.
Our visit was for business and some R&R. The cottage was very comfortable; clean, quaint, cozy and functional from kitchen to bath. Stefan was available by phone, but best by text. As for a "welcoming" feeling, there was no formal greeting (or face-to-face at all) at check-in as you might be accustomed to when checking into a hotel. There were no advance instructions as to how we'd check in, so I called Stefan upon our arrival and he informed me that the door to the cottage was unlocked and the key would be on the counter. The cottage is located on a larger private property, tucked away in a residential neighborhood just next to a Senior Living apartment complex...my mom enjoyed chatting with some of the residents as they were out and about. The Wifi signal was not very strong, so don't plan for it. Some listed accommodations, such as laundry facilities and breakfast options are no longer available. Prior to our arrival, I had requested some dining options from Stefan and he did assist by sending a link to some local restaurants along with some specific suggestions. Overall, our six day stay was pleasant. I can understand why people would return to the cottage whenever they visit Kirkland.
The cottage is immaculate. Stefan has it in a ready state for anyone looking to get away to a scenic location. The location is quiet and although near everything feels secluded. This is an ideal vacation rental for a couple.
I however was out here on business and working on a thesis in the evening so I didn't avail myself fully of what was offered, but I would have booked another week had it not already been reserved. I will definitely stay here in the future. Stefan is a great host.
