Apartment - Private room · South 4th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11249, United States

The Space

I live in this apartment, and host travelers like yourself in the spare rooms. This is the perfect spot for those on a budget, who still want to stay in one of the best neighborhoods in NYC. Hotels in this area typically run from $250-500 per night. From here you'll have easy access to the L and J/M/Z subway stops to get you anywhere in the city.

Be aware that many Airbnb listings which claim to be in Williamsburg, are NOT actually in the neighborhood. This place is in a prime Williamsburg location right off of Bedford Avenue, which is the bustling main street that runs through the neighborhood.

I host guests in 3 of the rooms in this apartment, so it's similar to a hostel environment (except that you get your own room!) where you'll have the opportunity to meet and interact with other travelers. The apartment is on the first floor of the building, and includes access to an open outdoor space. The room is small, but spacious enough to comfortably accommodate 1 or 2 people. The bathroom is shared. The area is very safe, and the apartment has never had a problem with rodents, roaches, or bedbugs.

Williamsburg is the artistic and cultural heart of Brooklyn, with some of the best music and nightlife in NYC. Many would agree with me that this is the best neighborhood in the entire city. There are TONS of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, boutique stores, music venues, and everything else you can possibly imagine close by. When you check in, there'll be a list of some of my favorite spots in the neighborhood waiting for you on your bed.

You'll be within walking distance to the Bedford L & the Marcy JMZ subway stops, from which the entire city will be easily accessible. For subway & bus directions anywhere in the city, I recommend the website & app HopStop.

I always provide a clean room, with fresh sheets and towels for every guest. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any question or if there's anything I can help you with.

Check In
  • This was a great cheap place to stay, in a cool neighbourhood. The room itself was a bit basic but totally fine for what we needed. Also it was pretty close to the subway, which was super helpful. Communication from Dom was great, thanks!

  • Came in very late, around 1 am in the morning. Dom stayed up late to let me in. It is not too far a walk from the subway station if you know which way to go. I got lost, fortunately the host texted me the location to use (website hidden) maps to navigate. The room is quite basic. The bathroom was the usual quality you find in NYC apartments. In summary, if you want something affordable that's accessible to Brooklyn and NYC, this would be the place.

  • This is a pretty decent value. You get a room to yourself (without an external window, but with an internal one which lets in some sunlight from the main room) The hosts are communicative and accommodating, and the location is pretty fantastic for a young or young-at-heart demographic.

  • Dom was a very kind and helpful host. We had a lot of fun staying at his place. The room was clean, and the location was very good.

  • For the price and location it was exactly what I needed. Bed was comfy, the room was warm on a cold Brooklyn night. I had a clean towel with hot water in the morning. What else do you need? I briefly ran into other airbnb guests and I think I may have seen Dom in the morning before I checked out. It was a pretty chill unit!

  • If you want a budget place to crash in a great location then look no further than this apartment. There are plenty of great bars and places to eat within easy walking distance. Manhattan is also easily reachable via two subway lines very close by.

Dom is a very laid back host, but will always help if needed and is easy to get hold of. His friends who I met were also extremely helpful as well.
