Apartment - Private room · South 4th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11249, United States

The Space

I live in this apartment, and host travelers like yourself in the spare rooms. This is the perfect spot for those on a budget, who still want to stay in one of the best neighborhoods in NYC. Hotels in this area typically run from $250-500 per night. From here you'll have easy access to the L and J/M/Z subway stops to get you anywhere in the city.

Be aware that many Airbnb listings which claim to be in Williamsburg, are NOT actually in the neighborhood. This place is in a prime Williamsburg location right off of Bedford Avenue, which is the bustling main street that runs through the neighborhood.

I host guests in 3 of the rooms in this apartment, so it's similar to a hostel environment (except that you get your own room!) where you'll have the opportunity to meet and interact with other travelers. The apartment is on the first floor of the building, and includes access to an open outdoor space. The room is small, but spacious enough to comfortably accommodate 1 or 2 people. The bathroom is shared. The area is very safe, and the apartment has never had a problem with rodents, roaches, or bedbugs.

Williamsburg is the artistic and cultural heart of Brooklyn, with some of the best music and nightlife in NYC. Many would agree with me that this is the best neighborhood in the entire city. There are TONS of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, boutique stores, music venues, and everything else you can possibly imagine close by. When you check in, there'll be a list of some of my favorite spots in the neighborhood waiting for you on your bed.

You'll be within walking distance to the Bedford L & the Marcy JMZ subway stops, from which the entire city will be easily accessible. For subway & bus directions anywhere in the city, I recommend the website & app HopStop.

I always provide a clean room, with fresh sheets and towels for every guest. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any question or if there's anything I can help you with.

  • Awesome location -- really easy to find, and no hassles with checking in. Bathroom needed a good cleaning, but otherwise, everything else was really great.

  • This room exceeded my expectations. Simple, affordable, located in a great area easily accessed by public transport and overall just a wonderful experience. I spent the night there with my girlfriend and we really couldn't have asked for a better experience. Everyone there was kind and welcoming, it was just great. I couldn't recommend it any higher! Thank you Dom for making this awesome resource available.

  • I never met Dom, however, he managed to arrange an early bag drop which was great, had a guy meet me, who was on time and generally made life easy for me. Would use this place again and the location is awesome...

    January 2014
  • I had a marvelous time. The room was small but it served my purpose. It was nice to come back to because it was warm and cozy. My host was very cool and gave me some suggestions about places to go out to. The room was very close to both train stations so it was very easy to get in and out of Brooklyn. Overall it was a great time.
