I live in this apartment, and host travelers like yourself in the other 3 rooms. This is the perfect spot for students, backpackers, and others on a budget, who still want to stay in one of the best neighborhoods in all of NYC, and have the entire city easily accessible by foot or subway.
This apartment is in a PRIME Williamsburg location right off of Bedford Avenue, which is the bustling main street that runs through the neighborhood.
Staying here is similar to a hostel environment (except that you get your own room!) where you'll have the opportunity to meet and interact with other travelers like yourself. The apartment is on the first floor of the building, and includes access to an open outdoor space. The room is small with no window, but spacious enough to comfortably accommodate 1 or 2 people. The bathroom is shared. The area is very safe, and the apartment has never had a problem with rodents, roaches, or bedbugs.
Williamsburg is the artistic and cultural heart of Brooklyn, with some of the best music and nightlife in NYC. Many would agree with me that this is the best neighborhood in the entire city. There are TONS of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, boutique stores, music venues, and everything else you can possibly imagine close by. When you check in, there'll be a list of some of my favorite spots in the neighborhood waiting for you in your room.
The nearest subway stops are the Marcy J/M/Z (5 min walk) and the Bedford L (10 min walk), both of which are only one stop to Manhattan. On a nice day, you can also walk or ride a bike over the Williamsburg bridge into downtown Manhattan. For subway & bus directions anywhere in the city (including the airport), I recommend the website & app HopStop.
I always provide a clean room, with fresh sheets and towels for every guest.
You may check-in at your convenience, anytime after 4pm on the day of your arrival (even late at night). I cannot accommodate early check-ins, because other guests will be checking out the same day, however, you may drop your luggage off early if you need to.
Feel free to get in touch if you have any additional question or if there's anything I can help you with.
Interaction with Guests
Other Things to Note
Please be aware that this is a residential building, and you'll be sharing the apartment with other Airbnb guests. Please be respectful of guests and neighbors, and keep noise levels at a reasonable volume. I do not host guests with pets or children under the age of 18. Other than that, enjoy your stay!!
Bed bug infestations have made a resurgence in NYC in recent years. This apartment does not and has never had bed bugs, and I would like to keep it that way!!! If you have bed bugs in your home or are at risk of transporting them for any reason, I kindly ask you not to book.
We expected a cheap-hostel experience, so the paper thin walls was therefore not really a surprise. However, the already used linen were... Thus, far from the "five-star experience" mentioned in the house manual.
On the positive side, the communication went smoothly and quick, and the solution with the keys in the corner shop was very convenient. Location is good right on Bedford.
The apartment location is pretty good. The place is quite and safe. Dom is a great host. While the room is real small and not looks like the same as the picture. But I would say it is still a good experience anyway.
This was an easy and convenient place to stay at in a cute neighborhood. Getting keys was simple. Walls are thin so I would bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper, like me. I would stay there again.
Great location, really. Near everything. But at that price, don't expect a great room; no window, really tiny, not super clean, thin walls. It's a budget room, nothing more. But who needs to stay inside a room in the middle of Williamsburg ?
Dom was easy to get a hold of and left clear instructions about housing and suggestions for our time in Brooklyn. His setup for guests is easy to figure out and is ideal if you're looking for a private room in a shared space where you can come and go independently and choose how much interaction you would like to have with other guests without it being awkward :) Clean, safe and great location!
