I live in this apartment, and host travelers like yourself in the other 3 rooms. This is the perfect spot for students, backpackers, and others on a budget, who still want to stay in one of the best neighborhoods in all of NYC, and have the entire city easily accessible by foot or subway.
This apartment is in a PRIME Williamsburg location right off of Bedford Avenue, which is the bustling main street that runs through the neighborhood.
Staying here is similar to a hostel environment (except that you get your own room!) where you'll have the opportunity to meet and interact with other travelers like yourself. The apartment is on the first floor of the building, and includes access to an open outdoor space. The room is small with no window, but spacious enough to comfortably accommodate 1 or 2 people. The bathroom is shared. The area is very safe, and the apartment has never had a problem with rodents, roaches, or bedbugs.
Williamsburg is the artistic and cultural heart of Brooklyn, with some of the best music and nightlife in NYC. Many would agree with me that this is the best neighborhood in the entire city. There are TONS of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, boutique stores, music venues, and everything else you can possibly imagine close by. When you check in, there'll be a list of some of my favorite spots in the neighborhood waiting for you in your room.
The nearest subway stops are the Marcy J/M/Z (5 min walk) and the Bedford L (10 min walk), both of which are only one stop to Manhattan. On a nice day, you can also walk or ride a bike over the Williamsburg bridge into downtown Manhattan. For subway & bus directions anywhere in the city (including the airport), I recommend the website & app HopStop.
I always provide a clean room, with fresh sheets and towels for every guest.
You may check-in at your convenience, anytime after 4pm on the day of your arrival (even late at night). I cannot accommodate early check-ins, because other guests will be checking out the same day, however, you may drop your luggage off early if you need to.
Feel free to get in touch if you have any additional question or if there's anything I can help you with.
Interaction with Guests
Other Things to Note
Please be aware that this is a residential building, and you'll be sharing the apartment with other Airbnb guests. Please be respectful of guests and neighbors, and keep noise levels at a reasonable volume. I do not host guests with pets or children under the age of 18. Other than that, enjoy your stay!!
Bed bug infestations have made a resurgence in NYC in recent years. This apartment does not and has never had bed bugs, and I would like to keep it that way!!! If you have bed bugs in your home or are at risk of transporting them for any reason, I kindly ask you not to book.
Dom is a great host. Although we never met, we stayed in contact through email and he did everything to ensure that our arrival was smooth and easy. The apartment is just minutes away from the Metro station and it was very convenient getting around.
Exactly as described. Great neighborhood. Apt is quiet and comfortable. Have stayed twice and would stay here again!
Good choice and great price. Everything is exactly as described. Dom provides great communication. Picking up the key is easy and straightforward. The apartment and room are clean and quiet. Great neighborhood with lots of good food options. Close to the L and J trains. I would definitely stay here again!
Although the neighbourhood is very nice, this apartment is not what I would have dreamed of.
If you're looking for a cheap hostel (which this place is in facts) you'd better take a look elsewhere (room too tiny, place a little dirty and you're definitely don't feel welcome).
Thanks for staying here. I offer this room at a budget price (less than half the price of a hotel, and far cheaper than most Airbnb listings in this neighborhood). The discription states that it's similar to a hostel and that the room is small. The apartment is cleaned multiple times per week and the rooms are cleaned between each guest. I do everything I can to make guests feel welcome here, I'm sorry that you didn't.
A tiny room in a convenient location. If you're claustrophobic, I would search elsewhere (no windows in the room). If you only need a bed to sleep on in williamsburg, this will work. Expect that you will share the apt with other airbnbers. 5/10
The place was decent but is extremely hard to get to from the subway. Also, it was not clean at all, the sheets smelled pretty funny and pictures in the listing are not at all representative of what you actually get at the apartment. I guess it was okay for the instant book option and easy enough to get the keys from the market next-door but I would not be staying here again.
The place is very conveniently located to the L and JMZ trains. I'm sorry you had a hard time finding it. We have a professional cleaning service come in several times per week, and the rooms are cleaned between each reservation. I offer this room at less than half the price of hotels in the area and far cheaper than most Airbnb's in the neighborhood. I'm sorry it didn't live up to your expectations.
I sent my brother in law and his girlfriend with Dom. I am not sure if they interacted but they said the place was OK for what they needed, just a place to sleep. They mentioned that the bars were really close by, but that the neighborhood didn't feel too safe. Granted, they are from a safe place abroad and they might not be used to the NY environment.

I'm from California and have lived in Brooklyn for the last several years. I love NYC and love hosting guests in my home! Please let me know if you have any questions about my place, NYC, or traveling here.
