I live in this apartment, and host travelers like yourself in the spare rooms. This is the perfect spot for those on a budget, who still want to stay in one of the best neighborhoods in NYC. Hotels in this area typically run from $250-$500 per night. From here you'll have easy access to the L and J/M/Z subway stops to get you anywhere in the city.
Be aware that many Airbnb listings which claim to be in Williamsburg, are NOT actually in the neighborhood. This place is in a prime Williamsburg location right off of Bedford Avenue, which is the bustling main street that runs through the neighborhood.
I host guests in 3 of the rooms in this apartment, so it's similar to a hostel environment (except that you get your own room!) where you'll have the opportunity to meet and interact with other travelers. The apartment is on the first floor of the building, and includes access to an open outdoor space. The room is small, but spacious enough to comfortably accommodate 1 or 2 people. The bathroom is shared. The area is very safe, and the apartment has never had a problem with rodents, roaches, or bedbugs.
Williamsburg is the artistic and cultural heart of Brooklyn, with some of the best music and nightlife in NYC. Many would agree with me that this is the best neighborhood in the entire city. There are TONS of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, boutique stores, music venues, and everything else you can possibly imagine close by. When you check in, there'll be a list of some of my favorite spots in the neighborhood waiting for you on your bed.
You'll be within walking distance to the Bedford L & the Marcy JMZ subway stops, from which the entire city will be easily accessible. For subway & bus directions anywhere in the city, I recommend the website & app HopStop.
I always provide a clean room, with fresh sheets and towels for every guest. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any question or if there's anything I can help you with.

Only down side was noise from the neighbours until 2 am and room, I was in, had no windows.
Overall, a fine place at a reasonable price.
It was exactly as promised. I'd challenge you to find more affordable, safer and more accessible accommodations in and around New York City. No worries here.
We had a few small problems with the room. First of all, it wasn't very clean, there were two pairs of shoes under the bed from previous visitors swimming in dust and the bathroom could use a good clean as well. Second, the rooms were very noisy. We were prepared for some noise but we weren't prepared for the very loud couple having sex in the room next to us. Of course this isn't really Dom's fault although we couldn't help but notice that Dom was the only one sleeping in that room during our stay.
The other problems we had were fixed by Dom adequately. The neighbourhood is great, Brooklyn is a fantastic place with great bars and restaurants around the corner.
L appartement est très bien situé (plein de boutiques, restos, bars sympas à deux pas). Chambre correcte pour le prix. Dommage qu il n y ait pas de fenêtre !
Good stay, very confortable! Thank you Dom.
Very fine stay in this room. The room was clean and made up. We were checking in at night and Dom wasn't available, so he left the keys with the convenient store nearby and made for an easy check in. If you're looking for a hassle-free cheap stay in Brooklyn, this is a good spot. Also great mexican restaurant very close.
Good stay, nice person, recomend him.
Dom is great ! My friend and I had to spend a night in Williamsburg because our flight got in early at JFK. Dom had accidentally double booked the room we were to be in so he ended up giving us a better room for free!
Dom was an awesome host, and his location was in a very prime area. The subway was a 10 minute walk just as he stated, and from there you could take it into midtown and get there in 15-20 minutes. There are many restaurants and cute cafes around his apartment that give you a lot of options to try. The room was cute and cozy. For the price, it's a great choice and I'd really recommend it to anyone visiting NYC for a few days.
Good price, great location, cozy room. Walls are a little thin but this is brooklyn. Apt has great kitchen. All in all just what I would expect from the neighborhood. Dom was very pleasant and all business. He met us on time and we were in and out in just a minute. Would stay again for sure!
