Interaction with Guests
We like to make sure our guests have a wonderful experience from the first inquiry message on airbnb to welcoming them personally at the apartment and sharing tips about the neighborhood and the rest of the town during their stay.
As a guest, you will get my custom online map with all the good addresses of the neighborhood so you can feel like a local. There are also several great Paris guide books in English at the apartment.
LOCATION: Central Paris, Historic district
I love the neighborhood, so classic Parisian with its beautiful buildings, countless restaurants and cafés, great bakeries (Poilane, LaDurée, Hermé) and super-cute boutique shops (clothes, antiques and home decor).
You can walk to all the major sights or take the subway or bus (many lines within 3 blocks)
There's a supermarket up the street and Boulevard Raspail's Farmer's market 5 min walking away.
3 min to Le Bon Marché Department store
12 min to St Sulpice, Odéon, Luxembourg Garden, French Senate
- 15 min to St Germain des Prés (Café des Deux Magots, Café de Flore), Rodin Museum
- 20 min to Notre Dame, Musée d'Orsay
- 25 min to Pont des Beaux Arts, Louvre Museum
- 30 min to the Eiffel Tower
-> Via subway, you're only 10-20 min from any sights in Paris.
There are several metro (subway) and bus stations really closeby that will take you all around Paris and to Versailles Castle also.
Other Things to Note
Please message me BEFORE booking if you are planning to arrive after 8pm/ 20h00.
Please read carefully:
Absolutely NO SMOKING, NO PETS, NO PARTIES. Thank you!
I'll meet with you personally in front of the building, show you how everything works at the apartment, give you the keys and point you to my favorite places.
Sometimes my aunt meets with guests instead of me when I'm busy. She lives in the neighborhood and will answer all your questions.
Depending what time you are leaving, I will come on the day of/ or on the eve of your departure, at the time of your convenience, to check that everything is in good order in the apartment, get the keys back and some feedback from you about your stay.
NOTE: if you want to request an earlier check-in or later check-out, please check with me BEFORE booking so I can check my availabilities. We are usually able to accommodate check-in as early as 9:30am and check-out as late as 4pm but do check with me before.
To answer a frequently asked question: Airbnb holds your security deposit. It doesn't get sent to me. Airbnb returns your deposit 48h after check-out provided there are no claims by the host (that's me!).
If something gets damaged like a stain on the couch or you broke a glass, please be upfront about it. Accidents happen, it's not a big deal. I will ask for the cost of the repair in euros in cash before you leave (instead of going thru Airbnb so you can get your security deposit faster) and I'll sign a receipt acknowledging such payment .
The cleaning fee ONLY covers the cost of washing the bedding & towels, ironing of the bedding set and a light cleaning of the apartment. Therefore, guests are asked to leave the apartment in a GOOD, CLEAN condition with dishes done, trash taken out and a clean bath (shower, sink, toilet and floor).
As an option to you, you can pay extra if you don't feel like cleaning the bath before you leave. (Let me know at least 4 days prior your departure). thanks.
We have free unlimited calls to most countries (Europe, USA, Canada, China, Russia...) so you can call home and tell your loved ones about your Parisian adventures! If you're planning on calling a specific country, please let me know so I can check that it is a free call.
INTERNET: Illegal downloads and hacking are prohibited by French laws.
The keys for the apartment are special keys: for your safety, they cannot be duplicated without our owner's code. If you lock yourself out, give me a call and I will come open the door for you. However, if you loose the key, you will be charged for the making of a new key (150€) or a new lock (445€) depending on the circumstances of the key's disappearance.
Luckily, in the many years that I have rented this apartment, no guest has ever lost their keys. I recommend you keep it in the inside pocket of your bag/purse, not in your pants pocket nor on the outside pocket of you bag.
Since April 2013, we have a new Delonghi heater in the living room. This is a top quality heater which has a special continuous heat release technology.
Although it has the looks of an old-school heater it is not, therefore it is important that you do NOT PUT ANYTHING ON THE HEATER (wether your items are dry or wet). You can use the bathroom heated towel rack for dry or wet (not damp) towels and other items.
You are not allowed to temper with the settings of the heater. We have it set so the apartment is always between 18-20 degrees C (64 to 68F). The apartment is very well insulated with double pane windows so it always feels warm and cosy. We are always available by phone or email if you have any troubles with it. :)
I've had such a wonderful experience with Airbnb guests from all over the world. Some now come back several times a year and I hope to welcome you too to Paris soon!
Feel free to ask me any questions!
Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you!
Vertens Tante tok meg i mot og ga meg nøkler og låskoder. Hun orienterte meg om butikker og restauranter i nærheten, og jeg lovte å følge husreglene. Greitt og upersonlig.
After being in contact with Deborah, her mother, who was very nice, met us at the apartment and showed us around. Easy to get to from the metro. The apartment was good. It was in a very good area and close to the places we wanted to visit and public transport. She left some information about local places to eat. Really liked the Bakery. All in all a good experience.
Good afternoon ! Deborah, we had a great time in your studio. the apartment is very quiet, clean and comfortable. The location is very good with metro and good restaurants nearby. In general we liked a lot and we recomend for sure.
Thank you very much
Je n'ai jamais rencontré mon hôtesse. Appart bien situé, propre avec commodités modernes. Sauf qu'on y entend les activités amoureuses des voisins la nuit, conversations et animaux. Par contre environnement extérieur tranquille.
Thank you Lucie! I was sorry I was not able to meet you in person but it was very nice talking to you on the phone before and during your stay. My aunt, who often greets guests when I'm not available (as explained in the listing), was delighted to meet you as well. I'm glad you enjoyed the apartment and the neighborhood and hope to have the chance to make your acquaintance in person next time!
Som sagt: hun møtte meg ved ankomst og avreise. Beliggenheten, leiligheten svarte til beskrivelsen. Den var nøktern men komfortabel.
Excellent experience! The flat was just as described and immaculate. Deborah was very accommodating as I set my plans (my mother ended up joining me for a while during my stay), and when I arrived, Deborah took the time to show me everything in the apartment AND to give me a tour around the neighborhood! The location could not have been better for me, and Deborah's recommendations on where to eat/shop and things to do were spot on. Deborah's mother was lovely, too, and very helpful (and patient!) when I checked out. I really did feel at home in the flat, and I would very happily stay there again when I'm back in Paris. Thanks so much to Deborah and her mother for making my stay so wonderful!
Deborah's apartment is great. It's in an enclosed courtyard so its very quiet and very parisian. The place has a clean and modern bathroom and a little kitchen and wifi, which made it a comfy and pleasant stay. It's in the middle of a very good area of Paris and it has nice little shops and bakeries/coffee places round the corner. The metro is easily accessible: two important lines have a stop nearby. Deborah is easy to contact and keeping in touch during your stay, and really nice in person :-) If you go to Paris: stay at her place!
