Sam-a-el and myself have been hosts to an interesting eclectic group of people from all over the world since December 2013.
We have made some wonderful new friends along the way.
We have chatted about all subjects and have always found something in common to talk about. AirBnB connects people and we are happy to be a part of its spirit.
I am a Mothercraft Nurse .
Our beach side haven has been home to us for over three years now although we built it 16 years ago but it was barely used for many years only for our Holidays .
Within walking distance is one of the best beginner and intermediate surf beaches at the end of our street.
The Islands surf school is also located down the road and offers surf lessons.
Beware it is very cold but the surf school provides all the equipment and fun.
We also have a great local cafe just down the road that has the best hamburgers we have ever eaten.
It's called the Smithys Burger but bring your appetite as it is huge. It can also be shared. I'm told that the coffee is not too bad either.
The penguin parade is a popular destination with visitors and you are in luck as they come to shore every night of the year without fail. I would recommend booking as it can sell out and you also avoid the queues. I wouldn't advise eating there as it is quite basic and there are plenty of nice eateries in cowes the main suburb of Phillip Island .
The times that you need to be there does vary so check with the centre on the day of your visit.
At the fish and chip co op at San Remo they do pelican feeding on the beach every day at 12:00. It's free and lots of fun. Sometimes the local sting ray appears too.
The koala conservation is about 1.3 kilometres away.
Amaze and Things is about 1.3 kilometres away.
GP track is about 1.2 kilometres away.
Cowes is about 6 kilometres away.
Smiths Beach is about 800 meters away.
Sam-a-el, passed away in June 2016 but I am still continuing his love of hosting and meeting new friends.
