Room in cozy penthouse apartment

Bed & Breakfast - Private room · Absalonsgade, Copenhagen, Capital Region of Denmark 1658, Denmark

This is our unique and utterly cozy penthouse apartment located in popular and buzzing Vesterbro, close to the central station and the town hall square and with everything Copenhagen has to offer within short walking distance

The Space

The apartment is located just on top of an old traditional danish townbuilding from 1880 and the atmosphere and light up here is just fantastic. The apartment has just recently been completely refurbished, with new wooden pine floors and a new minimaslitic kitchen. With great respect for the traditionally old timberframed construction of the building, wood and bricks have been exposed and preserved in a respectful way and makes the apartment a unique experience.

Guest Access

The whole apartment will be at your diposal and shared with me.
A clean bathroom and a well equipped openspaced kitchen. Central dining area, cozy living room and your bedroom, equipped with a normal sized bed and a specially designed kids bunkbed. On top of all this, there's a beautifull green, lush and kids-friendly backyard at your full disposal.

Interaction with Guests

I will off course be sharing the apartment with you during the time you are in Copenhagen. I will meet you when you arrive, show you the place and make sure you get properly settled, and after that, I'll just be aroun´d, doing what I do everyday. How you would like to share the place and how much you would like to socialize is off course ALL up to you! Nothing is expected and everything respected... as long as you have a great time here! ;-)

The Neighborhood

Our cozy, quiet and unique penthouse apartment is located in Vesterbro. A very popular area that is definately one of the most buzzing and divers areas of central Copenhagen, where artists, actors, directors, homeless shelters and familys with kids live next door to each other. Cafés, restaurants and popular shopping are just around the corner and the Copenhagen central square and the famous walking street "Strøget" is just 10-15 minutes stroll away.

Getting around

From the international airport in Copenhagen, the apartment is reached within 20 min by public transportation. Cheapest, easiest and fastest by train (not the metro) from the airport to the Central station, from where it is just a short 6 minutes walk.

Local busses leave for all over Copenhagen, from just around the corner and the Central Station, from where the airport as mentioned and the rest of the country is easily reached, is just a few minutes walk away.

If you arrive by car, there is plenty of paid parking in the area.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Great location, a lot of stairs to climb, but a cosy apartment awaits you. Lars is a very friendly guy. The bed was a big disappointment, it was a child's mattress, very thin and not very comfortable for two adults. Lars went out and bought breakfast items for us, which we really appreciated. A great shower too! The bed sheets and towels all fresh and clean.

  • Beautiful apartment, all facilities, Lars is really cool, you really feel at home. The only thing to know is that the double bed is a bit small for 2 people, but LArs has an extra mattress if necessary. We had a wonderful time in Copenhaguen.

  • We stayed with Lars for 2 nights over the weekend.. We had an absolutely wonderful time and stay!
He's super welcoming and very kind, he even made us breakfast!
The house is cosy and very stylish. The area is very central and only 5/10 minute walk to central station. 100% recommend!

  • Lars was a great host and met me at the apartment without problems even though my flight made me later than expected. I had a short but pleasant stay. The apartment was spotless and Lars pointed me in the right direction for the sites. I look forward to a longer stay next time!

  • Lars was a very kind host, flexible and accommodating. His apartment was clean and very comfortable. The location is pretty good too quite close to the center of town.

    Recommend staying there.

  • Lars was fantastic, and the apartment was very cool! We had great conversations, and Lars gave us great recommendations for things to do in the neighborhood and elsewhere in the city. The space was clean and the decorations were so fun, interesting and cool. He even made pastries that we had for breakfast!

  • It was great to have a house in Cph and we really felt it was ours. Lars is very nice, open and his house is simply beautiful, very well located and he can tell you where to go to have a wonderful meal!
It was a pleasure to go back home after a long day visiting the city. I'll definitely recommend it!

    January 2014
  • Lars was very nice and his family was very welcoming. He even went out of his way to buy some breakfast foods for us! The central location of the apartment near Vesterbrogade street is also a big plus, with the central station a mere 10 minute walk away! The only setback is that the apartment is located on the highest floor, and there is no lift to take you up there, which is rather tiring if you have heavy luggage. Nonetheless the apartment was very tastefully furnished and comfortable, and I would definitely recommend this listing!

  • Awesome place - perfectly located in the center of the city - will def. come back!

    January 2014
  • Lars was a friendly, generous and hospitable host who went out of his way to accommodate me and my partner on our short stay in Copenhagen! One of our best experiences using airbnb. Highly recommended!

Hi there. I am an architect from Copenhagen, and I live with my 3 year old daughter in central Copenhagen. We love to travel, love to see the world, new places and to meet new and interesting people. Maybe that's you!? When we do fly to distant places, we really don't like that our lovely apartment is left unused and abadoned when we are not there. So we are looking for caring and loving people that would love to take good care of our place while we are away. And maybe that's you!?
