About this listing
This bright and spacious 1 bedroom apartment is located right downtown and is minutes walking from The Byward Market and the Rideau Centre. A full bathroom and kitchen, private balcony, and ample closet space mean this is perfect for your short term stay in Ottawa.
This charming little apartment has lots of windows and is filled with natural light. The living area and kitchen have hard wood floors, and the single bedroom has cozy carpeting. The decor is quite simple and fresh.
This is the perfect space for 1 to 2 people, but can accommodate up to 4 (if using the futon couch as a second bed). Everything you need for your stay in Ottawa is included, with a full kitchen, kitchenware, clean towels, and a tray of breakfast food.
You will have access to the entire apartment, including the private balcony from which you can see the Byward Market. You are also welcome to use the kitchen appliances, including the fridge, stove, microwave, and blender. The building is very quiet and the apartment is secluded within the building.
Interaction with Guests
This often depends on your check-in times and travel plans. I would like to meet guests to hand over the keys and show them the apartment briefly. However, sometimes it is necessary for me to leave the keys for you. I am available via phone and email. Please send me a message to discuss further.
As well, I am happy to provide recommendations for restaurants and activities in Ottawa! Please don't hesitate to ask.
If you have dietary restrictions (e.g. vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free), I would love to share some of my personal favourite spots in Ottawa with you :)
This ideally located apartment is within five-minutes walking of the Byward Market, the Rideau Centre, and the University of Ottawa.
There is an outdoor parking lot available at the end of the street. On weekdays, it is $10 a day, and after 3pm/on weekends/statutory holidays, it is $5 a day.
The apartment is very close to public transit. Bus tickets can be purchased at the Rideau Centre, third floor at the OC Transpo Kiosk (2 tickets for one person per ride). The kiosk also has information about bus routes and schedules available for free. I can send you an online link to the OC Transpo Travel Planner to help you plan out your trip if you plan on taking the bus.
If you have questions about the bus, I will do my best to answer them for you!
Other Things to Note
PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, there is no wifi available in the apartment. I can provide a list of close by, local businesses that have wifi for you if interested.
If you are planning to check-in early (before 3 pm) or check-out late (after 11am) please let me know as soon as possible. If your arrival and departure times are still up in the air at the time of your booking, it would be great if you could also let me know this.
Please be respectful of the space and your neighbours. No smoking, and leave the apartment tidy :)
We didn't get the chance to meet Kathryn but she left the key for us and finding it wasn't a problem. The apartment is very well located and well furnished. We appreciated the fact that Kathryn left cooking items for us to use as well as a breakfast tray (milk, o-juice, coffee and tee). Not a bad thing at all but there is apparently no wifi.
Kathryn was very helpful and approachable for this reservation. Unable to meet us, she gave easy instructions of access and the place was lovely.
Kathryn's apartment is lovely, clean, warm and in a very convenient location. Kathryn was very easy to get in contact with and always responded quickly to any questions.
Really appreciated the bagels she provided and the maps and suggestions where to get groceries/eat out.
I would happily stay here again, should I need to go to Ottawa again.
Kathryn was a wonderful host for us in Ottawa. Her apartment was in an ideal location for us, the proximity to the University of Ottawa was incredible. The apartment was very comfortable, clean and just perfect for us.
Kathryn is well organized, she has real good communication skills and she was so kind to us throughout the process. We'd stay here again without any hesitation.
Great apartment and location. Kathryn provided everything we needed including bagels and orange juice. A clean and bright place. Kathryn's communication was regular and almost immediate. Would highly recommend her place.
Free parking on the street between 6pm-8am, otherwise paid parking for daytime elsewhere.
