BOTH 'COTTAGES' MAY BE RENTED AS ONE 'COTTAGE'! ASK FOR PRICE, or see listing under 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 kitchen, south yarmouth, ma
My 'Cottage' is NEW from the foundation to the eaves. You will have the 'Cottage' all to yourselves, so come and relax! There is a full sized washer/dryer in the unit, ( Aah... no hauling dirty laundry home!) along with a dishwasher. All supplies are provided for both. A/C is window units at this time.
Did I say everything is new? This is my personal 'Cottage' so I have all the amenities. The bedroom has a good sized closet, not something you will find around here, as most of the homes/cottages are older. The couch is my favorite. It's a good futon couch and I've slept on it many nights. The kitchen is fully stocked with the basic spices and condiments. I provide the initial paper towels, soap, laundry stuff, spices, etc., for weekly Guests, and ALL supplies for nightly guests
As for access? I have installed a Keyless entry system so you never need to worry about losing your key on the beach, or hunting for it in the dark! Simply enter your personally chosen code, and you're 'home'!
The backyard has a full patio set, (table, chairs, loungers) along with a fire pit and large grill. (I've provided the initial fixins' for S'Mores!) There's a clothesline for your wet towels and suits, and a place to put your bikes/kayaks/canoes. There are also Bikes,
and helmets, for your use!
Interaction with Guests
Although I may not be there when you arrive, I do meet all Guests sometime during their stay. After that, I'll be there for you if you need me or want to chat, or give you your privacy. Simply let me know before you arrive. I'm always here to accommodate you and your needs...
It's a beautiful tree lined street, and so close to all sorts of activities and restaurants you can walk to most places. With the beaches so close at hand, it's a lovely place to go for a walk, or bike, or boat, or fish, or.....!
Just two very short blocks will bring you to Rte. 28 where Public Transportation is readily available, and the cabs are plentiful, although with the things happening around my 'Cottage', you probably won't bother with either!
Other Things to Note
I DO speak some French! A little anyway. I also speak some Spanish, and a dab of Italian. There are basic spices, condiments, sugar, flour, coffee, and tea already in the cottage, and I'll have milk, bread, juice and some sort of pastry waiting for you... NOTE> I provide only the initial start up for these things.
With respect for my home and my neighbors. I accept small Dogs who have respectful Owners. There is a separate area for their needs in the rear of the yard. THE FEE FOR A PET IS $25/STAY. This will be added on to the amount quoted as Airbnb doesn't have a place to add it as yet. If you're a smoker, as long as you smoke outside, I'm okay with that, as I'm a smoker myself. Please, no extra guests without my knowledge. I depend on the income from my little 'Cottages' to make ends meet. Thank you. The 'Cottage' will actually sleep four, as there is a great Futon couch in the living room. I have slept on it many nights, and can tell you it's a nice firm, comfortable, mattress on there.
From Jun 27 - Sep 12, 2015 the minimum stay is 7 nights.
Susan was an excellent host who made sure that we had everything we needed and more. The cottage is clean and cozy and very close to local beaches, shops and restaurants. We definitely recommend this rental.
susan was an excellent host, she really goes above and beyond to make sure you feel like you're right at home. we loved the fresh fruit she left out for us on the kitchen table, and the stocked condiments in the fridge were all VERY helpful - saves you from buying an entire bottle of ketchup or salad dressing for just a few nights.
we also had an awesome fire out in the backyard (firewood provided by susan!) and the cushioned chairs in the back were perfect - the yard gets awesome all-day sun and is a bit sheltered from the otherwise windy nature of the cape. as a dog-mom note, susan was also very accommodating with our two pups, which we were thankful for since it saves us money from having to board them during a long weekend. the neighborhood (while not the most fancy) is great for side street walks with the pups, and she was very open to accommodating two dogs, even though her listing only said one.
the apartment was very clean, comfortable and much bigger than i expected, based on the pictures online. it comfortably fit us two and our two dogs, no problem, even with the crates. as a heads up, the walls between the two units are pretty thin, though we didn't mind too much - it didn't detract from our great weekend on the cape! within an easy walk to the beach and a DELICIOUS restaurant called skippers. we ate there twice! thanks for a great time, susan!
Hi Cyndie. Josh and Pups!
Thank you for your lovely review! I'm so glad you enjoyed Skippers, and sorry I didn't happen to have one of their gift cards at the time.
Oh gosh... I've tried to make the walls between more sound proof, but guess I didn't succeed. I am so sorry about that. I am gald you told me! This way I can get someone in to do a better job of it. Thanks again, Your Host, Susan
Before our arrival, Susan contacted us to make sure that everything would be perfect for our stay. Then, when we arrived, she welcomed us very warmfully and was always there rapidly when we needed something: in our case, we needed roasting pans that we received very quickly. The cottage is fully equiped and this stay was a wonderful experience!

Please say Hello to your charming wife whose name I don't know how to spell, and please keep in touch, Your Host, Susan
My 2-night stay at Five Beaches was very relaxing and enjoyable. The accommodations were attractive, clean, quiet, secure, and most hospitable. The location was easy to reach and perfect for exploring the Cape. The cottage was full of personal touches and made me feel as if I were in my own home. Susan not only came to welcome me and send me off, but she provided breakfast on my first day's stay. I will want to visit Five Beaches again, hopefully longer, and will recommend it to my friends. Susan is a wonderful person and a very thoughtful and gracious host. Brava!
This Guest is from 'Out of Country', and the translation is poor at best. As far as I can figure out, the Guest left early, without notifying me, even though my E-Address was clearly indicated in both airbnbs' info to her, and in the 'Cottage' on the first page of the House Rules. As I was only there to pick up my mail and clean and then greet incoming Guests in my other 'Cottage', I never realized she had left.
Without further clarification from this Guest, I'm at a loss to explain what actually happened, and am awaiting a response to an Email I have sent her. Airbnb has not received any communication from her except this review as of (phone number hidden).
Susan made us feel very welcome. Her house is lovely and has many amenities.
The cottage was clean and comfortable. Susan was very present and communicative throughout our stay. We appreciated having the kitchen and laundry facilities.

About the Host, Susan
I'm 67, single, originally from upstate New York. A charter motor coach driver for many years, now retired, I've stayed in many hotels and motels myself, so I know the value of a clean, pleasant experience when staying away from home. Plus, I've run both Hotels and Motels in Florida and California! I also owned and operated a restaurant and three catering businesses.
I'm a Weaver, great reader, (mysteries, paranormal, Regency type romances), have a 4 1/2 lb Yorkie named Emma (who doesn't give your allergies the hiccups! lol. ). A real "DIYer" (Do It Yourselfer), I bought and rebuilt my very first home from the ground up, literally, right here in Cape Cod, where I'm inviting you to come and stay!
Love to talk, socialize! My music is New Age, R&B, Jazz, Blues... pretty much smooth listening style.
I could never do without Popcorn, Poutine, Lobster (!), Sushi, Butter, Bread, Corn on the Cob, and last but not least, real Strawberry Shortcake!
I've always loved to travel, and I still do after all these years. My favorites? Hmm... Quebec for starters! Their zest for life is a joy! They are always celebrating something, like Carnival, the ice sculptures everywhere, the balls held in Ice palaces, and let me not forget Poutine, that delicious Quebec creation of fresh French fries and cheese curd covered with a brown gravy, or Chez Marie, the little wayside bread maker on the back road to Sainte Anne-De-Beaupre. Prince Edward Island has it's amazing patchwork quilt fields and friendly people, and the Calgary Stampede! Then there's the U.S., starting with Nashville Tennessee with it's wonderful music. Texas? Let's not forget the Alamo, the San Antonio River Walk, and Bar-B-Que.. San Diego with it's first rate Zoo and Abalone...Mackinaw Island in Michigan, no cars (or buses!) allowed here! AH! Dollywood where I met Dolly Parton. (You'd never recognize her!) A very different amusement park with a great twist. Let's not forget California's Big Sur and all the great amusement parks in Florida.
Since I suffer from severe motion sickness, I drive almost everywhere when traveling outside of my former job, although I have flown successfully.
I like to think of my little cottage as a type of self serve Bed and Breakfast, so I try to make sure there are yummy things to eat! Anything in the kitchen food or spice wise is yours to use. I always have soup handy for those times when you just need to warm your insides, and then, of course, there's the S'mores! I keep the cottage stocked during your stay, so if you run out of something, just let me know!
Hmm.. Airbnb says I should tell you if I have a Life motto, and I have two. "Pass it Forward", and "We are how we treat each other and nothing more."
