I have a spare bedroom in my place. I'm right next to a bus route that will take you straight into the heart of the French Quarter. Also nearby is a grocery store,Walgreens, pretty much whatever is needed.
It's a quiet space,it's close enough that you can be around the chaos of the quarter but when you want peace and quiet to sleep, you'll find it right here. In the spare bedroom there is a futon bed as seen in the pictures. A couple could sleep on it or even the couches seen in the pictures.
Guests will have access internet, washer, dryer, refrigerator, just about everything. There is only one bathroom so we would be sharing that.
If I have the time, I don't mind hanging out with them. If you want to eat somewhere, let me know and I'll make time for that! I don't mind picking up and dropping them off from the airport or even dropping them off at certain parts in town if I have the time. Probably 99% of the time I'll be at my house while the guest is there.
The neighborhood is pretty quiet. It's located right by UNO campus. If you walk through the campus you'll hit Lakeshore Dr. It's a nice area to hangout. You could even walk to city park if you really wanted too from my house.
There are easy ways to get around. Walking a couple of blocks away from my house to bus 55 takes you all the way down Elysian Fields and turns right onto Decatur St which is right where the Quarter begins.
Or if you wanted to take a more scenic route via the Streetcars into the city you could take bus 60,which is 2 blocks away, and transfer to bus 91 to the beginning of the streetcar line. This takes you right into City Park. I actually work very near there so I can always drop people off there if they'd like.
You are very nice, thanks you so much, i enjoyed to be in your flat,
all the best,
The room at Sebastian's was simple, quiet, private and clean and in a great location. It was close to the University of New Orleans and lakefront. He was very friendly, helpful, interesting and interested. Booking and checking in were a breeze. I would definitely stay there again.
Very homey little place and in a very safe and well kept neighborhood. Sebastian had a great sense of humor and was very fun to converse with and get to know a little bit!
Good accomadation. Nice room with TV and big bed. Kitchen and washing machine available. 20 min to go to the center by bus. Seb pick me up and we hanged up together. Easygoing and friendly. I could only advise you to go to his place.
Sebastian's house is very clean and comfortable. The host is also very friendly and easy-going. I will definitely book Sebastian's house if I had a chance to visit New Orleans again.
If you look for a simple, clean place to stay in NOLA, close to 55 bus that takes you straight to the French Quarter and with a great host, Sebastian, do not hesitate to book yourself in. Sebastian was happy to help me with the list of key NOLA places to visit in 1 day including Algiers Point and I felt very much at home at his place. Sebastian even offered to pick me up, if I missed the last bus :-) Cheers! Tom
I had a wonderful time staying at Sebastian's place. He is sucha nice person. The room is nice and clean, and close to public transportation. Highly recommended!
Sebastian was lovely! He welcomed us into his home and we had a really great time staying with him. We had dinner together one night and stayed up a few nights chatting.
Sebastian is a really cool and relaxed person. He was very helpful and showed us what we should see in New Orleans and even drove us to the nearest street car station. We had a really awesome time. The location itself was always very clean and the room is big enough. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. If you need a succes, go play table tennis with him ;-)
