An excellent place for a stay in New York! Isaac gave us a warm welcome, and several valuable tips about the neighbourhood, restaurants, shops etc. The apartment is very comfortable and cozy. All we needed was there, including some foodstuff in the kitchen and the fridge. Subway lines are nearby, as well as supermarket, Prospect Park and the Barclays Arena, where we saw the Brooklyn Nets. Beds are good, the shower is hot, the kitchen well equipped. Only small disadvantage: you have to go through bedroom one to get to the other. But it's New York!
Great apartment In a great part of town. Clean and bright. Isaac made us feel at home.
First, a big THANK YOU to Issac and Jo for arranging our week-long stay at the very last-minute. We had a previous kid-friendly booking cancel and needed to scramble. While staying here with a curious toddler proved challenging, the apartment itself is true to the photos and the hosts graciously left a bottle of wine, Wifi details and their contact information. Both were accessible during the week for questions. The accommodation is located in the heart of Park Slope, Brooklyn - near grocery stores, wine shops, boutiques and restaurants. One downside would be there is a bit of street and hallway noise; however, it is NYC! All major subways are in walking distance. And some of the best BBQ in Brooklyn is steps away. One suggestion: Some space could be left in the refrigerator/ freezer for folks who like to cook meals from purchases at the nearby farmers' markets.
Issac and Joel met us and were great hosts, explaining everything about the place and giving us their contact info in case we needed anything. The apartment is very well located, right around the corner from 5th Ave, a major commercial street in Park Slope, with restaurants, bars, grocery shopping and a laundry literally steps away. The R subway stop is less than a block away. The building itself is older and not updated, but was fine for us.
Isaac is the most fantastic host in all NYC and his apartment is awesome. Thanks to Isaac we felt like New Yorkers for a week. Actually we did not want to leave... This place was exactly what we expected, even better, so it really deserves its title "Perfect Brooklyn stay". Not only it is perfectly located (metro is two steps away and the neighborhood is so cool) but also the decoration is so cosy and arty + the bed is extremely comfortable (we did not get jet lagged: thanks to the wonderful pillows we slept like babies every night). And Isaac had so many kind attentions for us, from the customized welcoming blackboard to the flowers, as well as some food and drinks that we could use. Also, he was so flexible : our flight got delayed but still he welcomed us so warmly - in the middle of the night. We were 4 girlfriends traveling together and you can ask every single of us, we'd all advise you to stay at Isaac's apartment.
The host was very accommodating and left the apartment in a clean and neat condition. Once we moved in he contacted us to be sure we had everything we needed.
Fantastic apartment in a great location. Perfect for the four of us with a nice communal seating area.
I am a PhD student in Economics at New York University. I am originally from Mexico City and I moved to NY five years ago.
I am enjoying NY to the fullest. I go very often to the Philharmonic, the Opera, and Indie concerts, and I'm always riding my bike around. I love good food and drink, and I have put together a list of restaurant recommendations for NYC. I also like to travel and meet local people, make new friends, and host parties :)
I closed my social media accounts recently to concentrate in writing my thesis, it has really increased my productivity! I can send you my personal webpage if you want to know more about me.
