Stella Blue B is located in the hip & bustling Starland Art District. She was built in 1915 & recently lovingly restored keeping all of her historic Savannah charm in tact. She is walking distance to trendy shops, cafes, restaurants & bars & biking distance to anywhere in downtown or midtown Savannah: 3/4 mile from Forsyth Park, less than 2 miles from River Street, 5 minutes from I-16, 19 miles to Tybee Island & 12 miles to the airport. - SVR-00648 - PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD BEFORE BOOKING

The space
Stella Blue has an open floor plan with an exposed ceiling giving the cozy cottage a spacious feel. Century old original heart pine floors, wainscoting, and exposed beams provide that old Savannah charm & warmth. The living area has two double sided fireplaces (not currently in use), two leather loveseats & a comfortable sleeper sofa, a 55" smart TV with cable & a dvd player. The living space flows right into the first bedroom with a queen size bed & antique armoire. The living space is also open to the dining area with a round oak table with 4 chairs. There is also a bar that separates the dining area from the kitchen with additional seating for 4. The retro kitchen is large & fully equipped with an antique fridge (no ice maker/very small freezer), gas stove, & ample cooking supplies such as utensils, cookware, blender, coffee maker, hand mixer & even a food processor. Please note that the dishwasher has been removed. There is a surprisingly spacious & bright bathroom with a new tile shower & plenty of towels. The other bedroom is essentially open to the rest of the house & features a full size bed, a seating area & a hanging rack for clothes. There is also a full size sleeper sofa with a 2” memory foam topper to accommodate two extra guests. So the space can accommodate 6 guests: ideally a family or very close friends as there is very little privacy due to the open floor plan (the bathroom is the only room with a door). The back porch offers 2 adirondack chairs that are perfect for sipping your morning coffee or evening cocktails. The large open backyard provides ample parking.

Where you’ll be

Savannah, Georgia, United States

This is an up and coming neighborhood dubbed the Starland Arts District. I live in the neighborhood & I love walking & biking to all of the restaurants & shops nearby! Please note that there are bars close by that can be active & noisy. There is so much close by that it's hard to know where to start but I'll list some of my favorites.
As far as restaurants go I have to start with Starland Cafe. It is directly across the street & they have some of the best sandwiches & salads in town. Back in the Day Bakery is just a stones throw away with some delicious baked goods & coffee. The Atlantic just opened up less than a block away. It offers fine dining without the fine dining prices & stuffy atmosphere. Plus it has a really great fire pit outside. The Vault is an Asian fusion restaurant right down the street with some seriously delicious eats & even more delicious decor. The best burger in town is just a few blocks away at The Green Truck Pub. They offer local grass fed beef burgers & a pretty awesome beer list as well. The Florence owned by celebrity chef Hugh Acheson is right down the road & they have hit the nail on the head with their Southern inspired Italian menu. Elizabeth's on 37th offers fine dining in a historic Savannah Mansion. And if that sounds a little too fancy for you, don't fret... The Wormhole is just a couple of blocks away & it will scratch your dive bar, live music itch. I could go on & on but you get the point... There's plenty of delicious eats & drinks within walking distance & countless others if you decide to hop on your bike.
As far as shops go, there are several vintage and consignment shops in very close proximity. The Vicar's Wife is right around the corner. She has the cutest collection of antiques & handmade jewelry at great prices. A vintage clothing boutique, Gypsy World, is only about a block away. Another great vintage clothing store that I absolutely love, House of Strut, is just down the street. If you've got an event you are going to, go see Erica & she will style you and hook you up with some seriously awesome vintage duds. Picker Joe's Antique Mall is a few blocks down. Two Women & a Warehouse consignment and antique store is just a little further up the road. If you're into vinyl, Graveface Records is only a block away. And if you need any art supplies, Starlandia Art Supply is right next door. Again I could go on but you should just come check it all out for yourself!

I grew up on Tybee Island, GA, Savannah's tiny, eccentric beach community. I love to travel, camp, get outdoors, do yoga, spoil my dogs & see live music.

During your stay

I live right down the street & am always available by phone within an hour & a half. I usually have minimal interactions with guests unless they have any specific questions or concerns which I am happy to help with! I manage the property myself & I do occasionally go out of town. I will let guests know if I will not be in town during their trip so that I can make sure that they have everything that they anticipate needing before their trip. I also provide an in depth guidebook that has numerous suggestions for restaurants, bars, shopping & things to do in the area as well as house rules & info.
