The apartment has everything you need for a pleasent stay. It is a loft style apt with a big bed on the top room and a sofabed on the bottom floor. It is conveniently located at the entrance of the city within a private residential community, thus, being a very safe place to stay with 24/7 security. Not to mention that the place was designed with beatutiful detail, modernity and luxury; without losing the "antique" style of the city.
Once you get in you will find some essentials for immediate use. Afterwards you may purchase anything you might need on a convenience store right outside the residences.
In Antigua everyone walks as the weather and scenary are perfect for this, plus the city is very safe. Nonetheless, you will always have taxis and other means of cheap transportation readily available. Furthermore, the residential complex has a convenient "mule" (small vehicule) that can take you to wherever you need to go in the city (The driver will charge you about 1 dollar roundtrip to go to the central plaza for instance). Also, if you are planning on going to other cities besides Antigua I recommend you take a shuttle bus, which are available at various tourism offices within Antigua.
If you are staying for more than a week, a weekly clean up service will be included in the price.
Please also note the property has a safebox in which you can safely guard your belongings such as cash, passport, cameras, etc.
Finally, the property doesn´t have washer and dryer within the apt, but they are available for about 2 dollars within the complex.

We spent almost 4 weeks in Alfredo's condo in Antigua. The description and pictures are very accurate. For a long stay this is just right for two people. We walked to town every day and only needed a tuk-tuk when we went to grocery store.
It is a ten + minute walk to the plaza, but we didn't mind. We frequently came home quite late at night and never felt uncomfortable.
About the only complaint we would make depends on your interest in cooking meals in the apartment. The cooking utensils could be upgraded, and it would be nice to have real glass wine glasses, not plastic. if you are only going to have a light breakfast or sandwiches, everything is fine.
The housekeeper comes once a week and for 40 Q's (about $5.50) will clean whatever dirty clothes you have.
We spoke very little spanish so we need a lots of guidance through Alfredo. When we were there, he was out of country but responded fast and helped us find a ride and things.
He was the great host for his place.
The place was a bit smaller than I expected but it was really clean and well kept and the people there were wonderful. If I go again I will stay again.
Alfredo's house was perfect.
My husband and I met my parents there and had a wonderful weekend in Antigua.
The location is great and it's nice to have a home to head to after exploring Antigua.
The staff at the complex were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, we will definitely be going back.
Alfredo's flat is extremely comfortable, well equipped and the complex is really secure. It was really a great place to stay and enjoy beautiful Antigua. The security guards were actually really helpful when we asked questions about where to get things, or where to get food on the first night we arrived at 9pm in the pouring rain. It really would have made things easier if Alfredo had given us an address for the place. We got on a bus from the Guatemala / Mexico border, and the first thing the shuttle bus driver asked us for was the address. Fortunately my partner speaks Spanish, so he was able to describe the landmarks/main roads nearby that Alfredo had mentioned. The driver was kind enough to drive us around for a while looking for the place. If I had been by myself I would probably have been lost. Yes, when we got to Antigua we found the place relatively easily, but having never visited before, having an address would have given us more assurance and a better first impression.
We had a mixed experience with this apartment. Alfredo and his father were very responsive and professional before and during our stay. But the Internet never worked well the entire time we stayed (at first not at all, and after some days at a very slow pace). This was frustrating because it was a major request of ours since we are working. The complex is also not conveniently located - it is on a busy, smog-filled highway that is close to town but makes for an unpleasant walk in and out of town. Overall, we appreciated the chance to stay here but would have preferred something more central with reliably working Internet.
The apartment was once again, great. The staff had the apartment very clean when we arrived and are always very friendly. We did a lot of cooking this trip, so the kitchen became quite useful and having a comfortable seating area and bed made the stay that much better.
The proximity to Antigua was again, useful. Walking to the park/center was about a 15 minute trip and there are several bars/cafes that are much closer than that. A coffee shop has also opened up in the same complex as the apartment that was very nice to have by.
Alfredo was an excellent host! His apartment is lovely and accommodated our group easily. The location is great and very safe - super quick access into town. The place was modern, but with an authentic Antiguan feel. We would recommend staying here to anyone and hope to return at some point!
