About This Listing
A spacious oasis in the coolest neighborhood in town- near Upper King St district, Hampton Park and easy walk to Tattoo Moose, Rutledge Cab company and the newest Edmund's Oast. Enjoy a contemporary kitchen, multiple porches and artful interior.
We offer a space with character and beauty and multiple areas for hanging out or rest. Have coffee on the back porch with the birds and flowers. Rock in the front porch chairs and watch the world go by. Cozy up on the couch with a good book. One of my favorite aspects is the kitchen noise is completely removed from the upstairs. So early risers can feel free while those still snoozing are undisturbed.
You will have a key to the entire house during your stay.
Interaction with Guests
We will not have the benefit of greeting you but our friends and neighbors Tracy(contractor/property mgr) and Rachel(next door neighbor)can answer any questions or concerns with the house and area.
Our neighborhood offers quiet tree-lined streets where families have lived for generations and young people are bringing vibrancy. Within walking distance to multiple restaurants, bars, grocery store, pharmacy, etc. Parking is plentiful. For walkers/runners, its a great area and an easy jaunt through Wagner Terrace to Hampton Park where you can enjoy the circuitous routes among the well tended gardens and canopied trees.
Please note that this is a 30+ day rental. Additional days and weeks reflected in other rates.
We are directly on the 21 bus line. Marion Square is a two mile walk/bike ride that takes you through the Upper King district. Its easy to access I-26 as well as Hwy 17 without having to navigate the thick of traffic in the lower peninsula.
Other Things to Note

Susan is the perfect host! She responded to any inquiries I made almost immediately. Her neighbor is wonderful as well. The house was exactly as described, easy to find and simple to park at. It is a very quick drive to the hustle and bustle of the marketplace and all of the surrounding activities. There was plenty of room for four adults. We would all recommend Susan's urban retreat for comfort, ease and exceptional hospitality. Thanks so much Susan.
Great house! The pictures don't do it justice. Spacious and perfect for 3 couples. Kids room available too. Location is in an up and coming neighborhood with walkable food joints nearby. Would definitely recommend a car for mobility.
Host is very responsive and helpful with idea/recs.
Would definitely recommend!
Four of us spent a girls weekend in Charleston. This house was perfect for us. We each had our own bedroom, which was great. And having the extra half bath was a major plus. There were plenty or linens, a coffeemaker and all the other comforts of home. The house was a short 5-10 car ride to downtown. The binder of local information and instructions Susan provided was great! The lighting in the bedrooms/bathroom could be brighter but all in all it was a perfect place for our long weekend.
Bohemian property in an up-and-coming area, a short cab ride from the main tourist area. Susan is a good communicator & made us feel very welcome, as did her neighbour, Rachel, who looks after the property while the owner is out of town. The place has a comfortable, family feel about it & the Information Folder was helpful. Recommended!
My family (of 5) and I stayed in this lovely home for 4 days while we visited Charleston for the first time. There was plenty of room, it was very comfortable, and convenient to the downtown area.
We enjoyed our stay at this fun and comfortable home! 2 people in our group are artist so loved the cool vib of this home. Easy taxi ride everywhere. Comfortable beds. Well equipped home. Neighborhood was fine with friendly people welcoming us to Charleston! We all would love to stay here again! The only thing I could not find was a dust pan, but that is such a minor thing. Thank you for the chance to stay at your home. It was a perfect weekend for The Cooper River Bridge Run!!
