About this listing
This beautiful designer home is built on 3 levels. It is on a mountain hence they call it Costa Montaña and it is about 3800 square feet.
It is the perfect getaway for lazy days in the sun and cozy days at home.
It embraces the color and vibrance of the outdoors while preserving the amenities of modern life.
The first floor has the formal family room and dining room, studio and a small patio as well as the guest bathroom.
The second floor has the family room and opens to the pool.
The third floor is at creek level and is private with bedroom and attached bath.
The owners wanted to incorporate the outdoors into the home with showers in the bathrooms that feel like the outdoors, but are private.
Our guests will have access to the whole house including a washer, dryer, refrigerator, TV, Internet/Wifi. Wifi service is best on the upper levels.
Interaction with guests
We have a property manager and assistant who will show the guests into the home and take care of their needs.
We always have some stocked essential items in the fridge for you like bread, butter, milk etc so that you don't have to make a run to the grocery store as soon as you arrive.
Buck and Nelson can often point out places of interest in the surrounding area to the guests.
Our home is next to a major wildlife preserve called the Carara National Forest.
It is 20 minutes away from the beaches of Jacó but 3 miles from local beaches like Playa de Mantas.
The home is a great jump-off point for all tourist attractions like Monteverde and Arenal and the Manuel Antonio beaches.
The form of transportation most recommended is an automatic car with a good navigation system.
We do not recommend stick-shift as the region is mountainous.
The property manager provides a shuttle service for a fee-currently $120 each way (to the airport and back).
Other things to note
Maid service is dependent on the availability of help and time of year. Especially around Christmas and New Year's, we recommend that you request these services at least 8 weeks (2 months) in advance. All negotiations about price and specific duties are directly with the property manager and assistant, whose contact information we will provide.
This is a gated community, so the guards are very careful about whom they allow into the complex. We need specific arrival and departure times so that the guards can inform the property manager about who is renting and avoid unauthorized entry.
The keys to the home are always with the guards and once they have verified ID they will be able to give those to you.
Please maintain a respectable appearance around and outside the property, i.e. fully clothed., as there are families with small children living nearby.
We expect that guests close up all doors at all levels and switch off the lights at all levels before they exit the premises to avoid very high electricity bills
any excess bills >200 $ for determined dates of rental and corroborated by the property mnager will be charged to renter via airbnbn resolution center
It is necessary to switch off all ac's when guests leave for excursions
Upto 200$ of electricty bills are allowable for 1 week stay Anything in excess ie >200$ will be billed to the guest via airbnb
Please pay attention to all signs about what not to put in the dishwasher
We do not mind smokers but we will expect them to leave no butts around except in ashtrays which are being provided
also smokers should smoke in the balconies only not in the hose to avoid smells in the house
This is not a nudist colony so please observe the general rules of decency when it comes to clothing
We do allow one small housebroken pet.
