We arrived in Sedona late afternoon, hoping to have a relaxing dinner and watch the beautiful sunset. Instead, we sat in the bnb parking lot until dark looking for our "Wild West" room and trying to contact our host (business manager). Although we were at the correct address, the room labeled "Wild West" was not there! Finally, after 2 hours of texting, emailing, and leaving messages, the host's "partner" called and informed us that the room been newly named "Wild West" but still had it's old plaque on the door which said "Tea Time". I'm still not sure how the host expected us to know this. In addition, the electronic lock was broken and when we asked about this, we were informed that there was a key under the mat.
Our trouble could have been avoided if the host simply had emailed or called us ahead of time to explain about the wrong name and the broken lock. The host has never called to apologize or offer any compensation. We still don't know why it took 2 hours for someone to respond to our messages. We actually ran into the owner of the place the day we checked out, and although he asked us about our stay, he never really apologized for the mistakes or offered any accommodation for our trouble.
OK, with this said, the room was mostly as advertised (except for a broken tv). It was clean with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom and shower. It was easy walking distance to old Sedona with lots of shops and restaurants.
Probably would not recommend this place to friends as no one really seemed recognize the importance of customer friendly service.
Very disappointed in the stay. Waited for Jonathan to respond to our messages about entry and finally heard from his mother. She gave us the code for the deadbolt and cautioned not to lock the door handle. Upon arrival, the deadbolt did not work and the door handle was locked. While trying to get the door unlocked, Johnathan's mother offered we could use unit next door until ours was open. Then received call deadbolt was not working but to get key under the mat and enter our scheduled unit. Did this and unit looked good. Discovered the TV was not in working order and had no internet code. Spent several calls with Jonathan's mother and another lady named Lisa where they finally assigned us another unit (which was larger). Would not recommend staying in this complex, know we never would try it again. All very unprofessional, confusing, and poor use of vacation time.
The location was perfect - lots of things to visit in walking distance. We had a problem with the heat in our original room, and the host upgraded us immediately. Very responsive hosts with a great place!
The reservation was canceled 6 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Cozy and relaxing space with a warm welcome from Lisa. Great central location within easy walking distance to downtown. Quick and efficient handling of booking. Recommended!
Jonathan was readily available to answer any questions. We were moved to a different room due to maintenance, and were upgraded free of charge. The location is ideal, the facilities are excellent, and the bed was very comfortable. There were plenty of towels and a great hot tub and common area. Most of all, we were made to feel right at home, and that's not an easy task in Sedona where everyone has a new age/vortex agenda. This property has a true 'home is where the heart is" feel to it, and I would book it again in a heartbeat!
Jonathan Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cottage/room. I couldn't have asked for a more comfortable space. I love the digital locks, made my entry so easy! The décor within the room was just perfect. All the little touches really made it special; the Victorian settees were darling, the flowers in the vases, the birdcage lamp. he bed itself was so comfortable and the choice in bedding perfect. I even snuck in a little time in the Jacuzzi...again perfect with all those stars overhead. Once again thank you so much. I would definitely very HIGHLY recommend your Tea Time cottage.
