Ocean and mountain views with amazing star gazing on clear nights. 3 miles to the beach. Uber & Lyft service this area but are expensive and not always available.

The space
The Sunshine Daydream Ohana is a tiny, no frills, humble accommodation. It is a free standing guest house in a quiet, safe, rural neighborhood. Amenities include a mini-refrigerator, microwave, air conditioning, a flat screen TV (local channels only) and WiFi (can be spotty at times). The SD Ohana has a private lanai with a small yard that offers an unobstructed ocean view. You may even catch a glimpse of Maui when Haleakala pokes out of the clouds. If you visit during whale season (Dec-March) you may be lucky enough to see and hear the whales frolicking in the ocean.

This is the warmest, driest part of the island so we rarely have mosquitoes. You will probably hear the chirping of our friendly island geckos and you may even see one. They tend to be shy with people they don’t know. You may also see and hear the comical francolin birds. They cruise around in large family groups. You’ll see them walking single file on pathways that have been here longer than our house. There are a variety of other birds that change seasonally.

Please help us keep critters outside. Keep the front door and sliding door or screen door closed. Don’t feed the birds or other critters. Keep all food in the refrigerator or in a sealed container. There are containers in the cabinets under the counter. We don’t use toxic pesticides and we are in the tropics surrounded by nature so you may encounter bugs especially if you leave food out.

The SD Ohana can only accommodate one person. No exceptions!
No early check in.
