What a fabulous location, beautiful house in a serene and gorgeous New England setting! My husband and I were there to attend our older son's graduation. Our stay with Barb and Jonathan was truly a transformative experience. Our living space was beyond comfortable; the breakfasts, delicious and healthy, spurred us through the busy days we spent downtown and on campus. What struck us most, however, was the careful attention to each detail that made our stay so wonderful. We felt like pampered guests and part of their family all at once. We shared conversations, learned about the history of the area and reveled over the ample opportunities to explore nature right outside their front door.
Then there were the quiet moments spent lounging in the backyard on a chaise, listening to the birds singing, looking at the beautiful garden and watching the leaves flutter. We felt relaxed and unfettered. Truly splendid.
We will absolutely stay in their excellent home again when we return to visit our other son and friends in the area. Until then, we have fond memories on which to reflect. Every once in awhile, I'll pretend I'm still on that chaise. I know I will have the same feeling of tranquility I experienced then and throughout our stay.
There is a personal dimension that only caring and kind hosts can convey. This is Airbnb at its very finest.
Just returned from a wonderful stay in Hanover. The description on Airbnb was spot on. Barb's home and gardens are lovely. The room was beautifully appointed and immaculately clean. We had a delicious breakfast prepared by our hosts. My only regret is that the visit was much too short.
Gorgeous home in a Great location! That description is 100 percent accurate. The bedroom & bath as well as the living spaces were immaculate and very comfortable. Barb and Jonathan were exceptional hosts that created a perfect blend of hospitality and friendship. Summary: If you're traveling to the Dartmouth area...you just found THE place to stay.
Gorgeous home and great location is the TRUTH. As I said to Barb and Jonathan , our stay was the definition of lovely. Barb was easy to communicate with and made us feel very welcome and that she really enjoys being an Airbnb host. Delicious homemade breakfast each day and she and Jonathan took special pains to make sure I had coffee to enjoy even though they're tea drinkers . Lovely property surrounded by green gardens and flowers. They do, and should, take great pride of ownership of this unique property. Comfortable bed, luxurious bath, delicious breakfast, such pretty gardens , plenty of space and great conversations. This location is so convenient for attending activities at Dartmouth College campus.
Barb and Jonathan have a LOVELY home. It has a very warm feeling ... a very cozy spot on a sweet spot of land, close to downtown Hanover. Our accommodations were very comfortable. I slept like a rock ... and I didn't realize that I missed falling asleep to the sound of crickets.
