The studio has a large living area that is light and airy. There is a view of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. In the front alcove is a queen bed. The studio is great for one couple or a family with one child young enough to sleep in our pack 'n' play, which we can provide upon request. There is a tv with 140+ satellite channels and DVD player, and a desk where you can set up your laptop to take advantage of our high-speed wireless internet.
In the kitchen, you will find a refrigerator, oven/stove, coffee maker, microwave, and juicer. The cabinets are filled with all the dishes and equipment you will need to prepare a snack or meal. We stock coffee and some pantry items to get you started.
The bathroom includes all the necessities as well as a sink with separate faucets for the hot and the cold (which Seinfeld fans will recognize as “very charming”).
The studio occupies the second story of a rambling Craftsman-style home. The studio and main floor have separate entries and are completely closed off from one another inside. Your entry is up a flight of stairs in the backyard. Full-time tenants live on the main floor and in a separate cottage on the property and share the yard space. The yard is a pleasant place to relax with a picnic table and mini charcoal grill.
Although you may feel like you’re worlds away from it all when tucked inside the quiet, peaceful studio, you will actually be just 2-1/2 blocks from the heart of our neighborhood. Walk up the street to the West Seattle Junction to find great restaurants, coffe shops, shopping, a pharmacy, grocery stores, and nightlife.
Our neighborhood, West Seattle is also home to Seattle’s finest waterfront areas: Alki Beach and Lincoln Park. Alki provides summer fun and excellent views of downtown; Lincoln Park is great for a hike in the woods or a dip in the saltwater swimming pool. We recommend riding the Elliot Bay Water Taxi from Seacrest Pier to downtown Seattle.
By car, downtown Seattle is just 10 minutes. Or, another great hassle-free option is to hop on a metro bus and ride just 15-20 minutes.

The Starlight Studio in West Seattle was perfect for our stay. Laura's style is my own! We loved the bright airy apartment. It had everything we could have possibly needed. The location is great with lots to do nearby and Laura's suggestions were spot on. I hope we can stay again soon. I recommend this lovely, vintage spot!
The Starlight Studio was cleaner, cuter, and more equipped with amenities than we had expected! The location was perfect, and Laura makes a point of making her guests feel at home. I would stay here again and again. Highly recommended.
A lovely place to stay. The house had so much charm and a wonderful view of the water. An easy walk to the "Junction". Laura was easy to communicate with, we had a great stay.
The apartment was great: really cute, full of light and air. Everything went very smoothly and Laura provided all the information that we needed. I would definitely stay there again.
This is a great space hosted by very thoughtful folks - they thought of most everything their guests might want to have on hand. The house is old and has tons of charm, lots of light and great views. I really enjoyed my stay.
It is a cute and kinda quaint place (a nice little yard too;) The hosts are very nice and accommodating. We ended up inviting our local friends over to have dinner and enjoy the big and clean kitchen/dining room with us. It is definitely a great deal for the price. Free and spacious street parking in front of the house is also a plus. Only several blocks away from the center of this west seattle neighborhood where we got groceries.
