The Space

Why would anyone want to stay in a cramped hotel room at quadruple the price when they could share 1,000 square feet of luxurious living, which includes a fully stocked kitchen with all appliances, a full-size washer and dryer, a fantastic swimming pool, multiple flat screen TVs, high speed Internet, and extra soft sheets on a king sized bed?

ALOHA! This Situation is Totally Perfect for One or Two People Who Don’t Mind Sharing an Absolutely Beautiful Place with a Single, Professional, Non-Smoking, Male who Works Full-Time.

I am extremely organized, friendly and respectful. I love to kite board and star gaze, and I own my condo in Kihei.

Sunny Kihei has the best climate in Maui, warm weather year-round with very low precipitation, plus Kihei is known as the pivoting point to all Maui activities! With six miles of sun-kissed beaches, it’s no secret why Kihei has boomed into the island’s largest tourist destination.

I live DIRECTLY ACROSS THE STREET from one of the most popular beaches on Maui; Kamaole 3. It’s truly a picture perfect setting and was voted "Best Place to Watch Sunset" in Maui. Also, close by (less than 1/2 mile from my place) is the World Famous Keawakapu Beach. Additionally, my condo is less than 10 miles away from Maalea, 20 miles from Lahaina, and just 14 miles to the airport in Kahului.

My home is updated, private, quiet, clean, and comfortable. As mentioned before, the complex is close to EVERYTHING: beaches, restaurants, grocery stores, surfing, snorkeling, fishing, shopping, gas stations, kayaking, dining, public parks, the “Triangle Night Life,” you name it! It’s all around the corner from my place.

You would have your own private bedroom and private bathroom. We would share the living room, full-size brand new washer and dryer, gourmet kitchen, and lanai. The size of my spacious, second floor unit is just shy of 1,000 square feet. You won’t be disappointed! My décor is artsy and tasteful and includes stylish, designer, high-end furnishings.

Your bedroom has a super comfy king-sized bed dressed with linens and extra soft, fresh smelling blankets. There is a ceiling fan in the room, and a large window. In addition, there is a flat panel television with cable TV, your own personal alarm clock, a luggage rack, and an extra large closet with plenty of room for your clothes and belongings. The room includes high end, custom lighting on a dimmer switch, as well as bedside reading lamps. For extra privacy, your bedroom door can be locked at any time.

Your private bathroom is sparkly clean and is right next to your bedroom. There are plenty of bathroom and beach towels in the closet.

The living room has a flat screen TV, a DVD player, a large, suede couch, as well as a ceiling fan and separate air conditioning system. There is a hand painted mural on the ceiling and custom lighting.

The lanai is just off the living room. For your convenience, there are two chairs and a cooler off to the side. Feel free to pack them in your car and use them on your vacation.

I have a fully equipped kitchen with all major appliances, a coffee maker, and even Brita filtered water. With plenty of room for your groceries, you can cook whatever you want, whenever you want and will have full access to everything. Kitchen also includes a very nice breakfast bar with comfortable seating.

If you bring your laptop, I have high speed Internet at no additional cost. In addition, your daily rate also includes all taxes and totally free parking. There is a one time $75 cleaning fee.

I almost forgot to mention that there is a SWIMMING POOL, hot tub, and a new BBQ area on-site.

Isn’t it about time to experience the true feeling of peaceful Hawaii? WELL, THIS IS IT!

I charge a fee of $75 per night plus a one time cleaning fee of $75. At these bargain rates, days are going fast, so please don’t wait to pay. If you email me, and I tell you it’s open, please pay through Airbnb right away, that way you are guaranteed your dates. The first one to pay gets the room, so don’t delay, as I receive an average of 5 emails per day. I cannot stress this point enough, as EVERY SINGLE DAY people are beaten out because they wait to pay!

Sorry, but no smoking allowed INSIDE the house. Also, this space is limited to no more than two people. I look forward to meeting you.

Mahalo nui loa! Malama pono!

  • This place was a very nice place to stay. Steve was friendly and must be quite a busy guy as he's not around much. The listing is accurate and the place is very clean. It's a great location with superb weather. Beaches, food and shopping are all close by. Thanks again Steve!

  • I really enjoyed my stay at Steve's place! He was so kind ro pick me up from the airport. The apartment was very good located, a good base to explore the island. Everything you need is available, and the apartment is very clean and tidy. Steve can give you all the information you need about things to do around the island. I would definitely recommend to stay here!

  • Steve was a wonderful host - tons of insider knowledge about the island and places to see/eat/drink/catch the sunset. The condo was clean and comfortable - we cooked in the kitchen, grilled outside, and cooled off in the pool that is steps from the front door. We tried to catch the sunset every night - usually from the park right at the end of the complex where others would sit with family/friends and beers - a great atmosphere. Our friends stayed in a close by resort - at a quarter of the price and having a kitchen, our stay was much nicer than their experience. I would recommend staying here to anyone thinking of visiting Maui - it is close to everything!
    Mahalo, Steve!!!

  • Steve was great company and fun to talk to. He had a lot of good information about what to see and do, good local tips. His condo is very spacious and clean, the king-size bed in my room was super comfy. It was a bonus to have the extra shampoos and suntan lotions in the unit just in case you ran out or forgot yours. The location is near all the best beaches in Maui and a quick walk to the local shops. Thanks to Steve I now know how to say Keawakapu beach properly:) It was like a home away from home staying at Steve's place. Mahalo Steve

  • Steve's place provides a truly fantastic location, a comfortable living environment, and a great value. We had a fantastic time over the long Valentine's/President's Day/birthday weekend, and can't wait to come back and visit this beautiful island again.

We happened to be there during a heat wave that was difficult to combat with only a ceiling fan and a distant air conditioner, but everything was exactly as advertised and we were very happy with the rest of the accommodations.

Thanks for being such a hospitable host, Steve!

  • This is a very popular place for all the reasons cited here already. I enjoyed a whole month at Steve's place and was able to appreciate the good value and the proximity to all that this winter weather escape has to offer. Unique to me was the fact that Steve instilled in me an appreciation for the Winter Games as we watched TV together and he offered knowledge as yet unknown to me. Today I watched the closing ceremonies at Sochi while the snow fell in my hometown and I wished I were elsewhere!

  • My wife and I spent a delightful week at Steve's place. He was a perfect host, and is a good and interesting person. He was most helpful and accommodating, knowledgeable about Maui, and had everything one could ask for in terms of living and beach needs. We shared full use of the kitchen and living room, and he was around so sparingly that it felt like our place. Thanks so much Steve. Ron and Sharon
