First of all, I'd like to say a BIG Thank You to all of my previous guests. Over 100 reviews, and counting! :D Read on for more info...
Welcome! Charming walk-up apartment in Downtown Toronto located on top of a landmark Cafe. This is a Heritage Building and is central to so many great neighborhoods; Kensington Market (foodie and vintage haven), Little Italy (great restaurants and night life), China town (cheap eats), U of T (beautiful campus), Queen Street (trendy shopping), as well as the Club and Financial Districts. There are two nearby Laundromats and two 24 hour convenience stores, just a 1 and (maybe) 2 minute walk away. The streetcar stops right outside the building, and it is only a 10 minute ride to both major subway lines. In the summer months, take the streetcar southbound to the Harbourfront... it's only a 20 minute trip! Also, this area is Bike friendly; with bike lanes and ample parking. This place has so much character- High ceilings, and some of the old fixtures and detailing still intact. There is a full washroom and kitchen to share, which leads out to a sunny back patio!
There are Bixis (Bikes) and motor bikes for rent directly across the street- this is a great way to get around the city!
I am offering the living room/guest room for rent in this typically shared 2 bedroom apartment. Your room is private, and extremely large with two big windows facing the main College St. strip, and an amazing view of the CN Tower. There is one queen sized bed and one pull-out couch available. You have your own sitting area and large desk, plus fun nick-nacks to keep your eyes entertained. There is T.V in the room- feel free to watch any DVD you please! I've got lots to choose from. I will provide the latest copy of Now Newspaper (so you can see everything that's going on in the city). Stays lasting over a week will get a complimentary room clean and linen change on the 8th day, if desired. Fresh towels available on request.
Please check back for updates, and feel free to message me with any questions. I can't wait to meet you!
Note: At times, this apartment might be shared with people other than me.

Sofia was an awesome host. Why? Because she is so accommodating and honest. The room and apartment is as described and the location is fantastic. I will be staying here the next time I'm in town.
Sofia has a really cool story that reflects the living quarters in her apartment! The moment i saw pictures to the moment i stepped inside, i knew this was a place I could see myself living in despite the fact I was only there for a week :(. Sofia was super flexible with our accomodations at last minute and made time out of her busy schedule to come introduce the place to us. Couldnt have picked a better place that was in the centre of EVERYTHING. Super amazing person that reflects her personality into the aprtment. Thank you again!
Sofia's place is decorated with style! I felt like walking into one of the Gladstone's art boutique hotel rooms.
$3 plus a one block walk from the airport and I was home. Located in a heritage home, my room was spacious and comfortably slept both me and my 12-year-old son in separate large beds. We turned on the built in AC unit at night and slept peacefully. The restaurant two floors down was super convenient for evening refreshments which we carried up and out to a lovely outside deck and pleasant skyline view. The bath and kitchen are small but perfectly functional while the location was absolutely convenient. The rail stop downtown in right outside as is the connection back to the airport.
We ran into our host briefly as she was setting up her other room. Sofia was cordial and full of good local info. My thanks to her and I would love to return next trip to Toronto.
This room is absolutely fantastic! It is very spacious, the bed is super comfy, and there is a lovely desk for any personal work. By staying at Sofia's place, you are located at the intersection of Kensington Market, China Town and Little Italy. Walking distance from downtown, it is perfectly located to enjoy the most of Toronto. Sofia is an amazingly interesting and smart woman, and she is a very dedicated hostess. One of my top Airbnb experiences!!
The room is very comfortable, well decorated, and large! The location is also really great: it's right by chic Kensington Market, and steps away from the College St. and Spadina Ave streetcar lines. Sofia was very accommodating: the room was a bit cool, but she provided a space heater which helped to mitigate the chill.
Our stay was great. The room is huge and cozy and indeed in the middle of everything.
Very good experience at Sofia's !
the room is very big and comfortable, and the location is perfect ! so close to lots of restaurants (chinese, carribean, grilled cheese, burger etc) and shops.
Sofia is so nice and interesting to talk to !
Thank you for a great stay !

With a bixi stand (rentable city bikes) right accross.
The room , like the pictures has fantastic vintage furniture and collection of interesting reads. The mattress and sofa are new , and comfy.
The appartment has a full equip kitchen. And an hip feel.
very friendly and discrete host
Many cafes, bars, bites around, and conveniance store
Hanged out with Sofia in little italy.
Wich as said make it an exciting and convenient location but
only thing, its facing a busy street, but even tough i am a light sleeper i still had a good sleep and would recommend it.
Sofia was a very nice host. Waited for us ona late arrival and made sure the room was set up for us. The apartment is a prtfect location in Kensington market - close to all the shops and restaurants. We didn't have to drive anywhere.
