The space

Luca's House is in Podere Barbaglia, an old country small-holding dating back to the 19th century. Built entirely in stone it has been renovated respecting the typical architectural characteristics of the area blended with touches of artistic masonry. The result is a small ‘village’ whose rustic hospitality has grown over the years .
Ciliegio apartment is compoused by a livingroom with kichinet, bathroom, and two bedrooms at the upper floor, ideal for 4/6 people.
An ‘agriturismo’ or farmhouse accommodation, subdivide in Petra and Fonte apartment ,for six person and two children, and Brezza apartment, for six people, are also available for long or short stays for a total of 14-20 people, with a sauna and whirlpool.
WiFi connection is avaible inside the house and in the garden. Well accept pets. We are close to termal area as: S. Filippo, Bagni Vignone, Petriolo, and also to winter ski slopes.
The small-holding is in the midst of the countryside, surrounded by the biologically cultivated fields of the farm and by pine and chestnut woods that are typical of the area. It ‘s not unusual to see roe deer crossing the fields at sunset or the more timid porcupines or badgers or wild boar or even a furtive fox. The area it is completely uncontaminated and visitors can see all types of birds in the trees as well as falcons and buzzards circling up in the sky, watch the fireflies in summer and little clouds of butterflies in spring. The place is ideal for bird-watching enthusiasts, trekkers, mountain bikers and not far practicing paragliding. Ideal to stage Photo Tour, or to get your artistic shots.

So beautiful! The location is slightly remote (15-20 minutes from town) and is so quiet and serene. Charming old farmhouse, lovely grounds, cute and friendly kitty cats. Luca was very helpful with suggestions on what to do and where to go. We will be back in the summer and for a longer time!

The place is magnificent, very quiet. A real little piece of heaven! Luca is a pleasant, welcoming, careful host. We have savoured the delicious tomatoes of his garden. Thank you for everything. I recommend this place without hesitation.

Luca's accommodation is secluded within a beautiful setting of trees overlooking a lovely view from where we relaxed and ate outside. He has created and constructed a rustic arrangement of buildings catering to a number of small groups which privately go about their own activities. We enjoyed his small pool at the days end to cool off after what was a run a very warm weather. Our son enjoys mountain bike riding and rode using Amiata Free Ride business on Saturday on the mountain to his great delight. We had to find out about this ourselves with communication challenges but it was worth it, We made use of his cooking facilities though noted no dish washing detergent was supplied which was a nuisance as this place is not near shops. No soap was available in the shower. No breakfast supplies are provided so bring everything you need

With not a soul for miles, Lucas place is perfectly situated on the top of Monte Amiata. The last 20 minutes of our drive before reaching Lucas were spectacular but the best views were left for our arrival. We felt so at home as soon as Luca greeted us from his cottage with a big smile on his face. He showed us to our beautiful stone cottage which was delightfully cool inside, no need for air con. We bought enough food for our 3 day stay (we wish it could have been longer) and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Luca even lent us fresh coffee and local olive oil. Furthermore, on the Saturday evening he invited us for fresh pizza cooked in his own wood oven and local wine with his friends and other guests. What a special touch. The gardens and views are a picture of tranquility. Sitting at midnight watching the fire flies was one of the most special moments we've ever experienced. We will be back! Thank you Luca

it's definitely one of the most beautiful holiday place i've seen the last years! we spend the most beautiful christmas week ever at luca's house, felt very happy at the place with lof fire and surrounded by warmth and beauty, and very welcomed by luca - who even invited us to a christmas dinner with his friends & family. and we enjoyed the breathtaking beauty of the landscape and the hot thermal springs around. we could have stayed for a month if we had the time!!!

Luca's House is a warm, cozy and charming home in an idyllic setting in southern Tuscany. We loved it there. Luca was an exceptional host. He invited us to an authentic Tuscan pizza party, where he and his friends made a variety of pizzas (truffles! chocolate! anchovies! chestnuts!) which we ate with wine in the company of a dozen friendly people from Russia, Spain, France and Italy. Luca's House is a bit hard to get to, but it's worth it. We were a little concerned that it might be too far from the places we wanted to visit, but we found plenty of things to do and places to explore during our four-day stay, including the thermal hot springs in Saturnia (which are fabulous and free!) and visits to some astonishing towns like Pitigliano and Civita, as well as the great wine centers of Montepulciano and Montelcino. It's a great location, and the surroundings are absolutely spectacular. Other positives were a comfortable bed, a nice fireplace, and four very friendly cats roaming about outside, as well as a horse that paid a visit one evening. All in all, Luca provided us with not just a place to stay, but with warm hospitality and a unique experience that we will remember fondly. We hope to be able to return someday. In the meantime, we give Luca's House five stars and two thumbs up. Arrivederci, Luca.
