Lovely house on the first fairway of Quail Creek Golf Course, just a five minute drive to downtown Fairhope, 30 minutes to beautiful Gulf Shores, 30 minutes to downtown Mobile, and 45 minutes to Pensacola, Florida. You are free to enjoy the neighborhood swimming pool and tennis courts. I have been a homeowner here for 12 years now and love living in Fairhope. Living in Quail Creek is an added bonus!
There are two bedrooms upstairs and a full private bath. Very comfortable queen bed. The second bedroom has a full size bed, which is only used if there are more than two guests in the same party or two guests in the same party wish to have separate bedrooms (additional $15 fee applies). A beautiful view of the golf course from the back deck. I live downstairs. Includes a small refrigerator with bottled water, a microwave, and cable television. There is a new 23" flat screen television in the bedroom. I added blackout curtains for extra comfort while staying here. You are welcome to use the kitchen during your stay.
You are also welcome to use the washer and dryer. This subdivision is very quiet and you will get a good night's sleep!
The second upstairs bedroom is available for a fee of $30 if there are four in your party or $15 for one additional guest in your party. If there is a party of two that wants to use both bedrooms, there is a fee of $15 to use that bedroom in conjunction with the other bedroom. Therefore, for a party of two with use of both bedrooms the cost per night would be $80 total. Unless the second bedroom is used by your party it is not rented. I want you to enjoy your stay and have full use of the private bathroom without having to share it with people you don't know. There is WiFi throughout the house.
There is a casual dining restaurant within half a mile of my house that is reasonably priced and has an excellent menu. There's also several restaurants in the surrounding area, within a couple of miles. Fairhope is a wonderful place to walk around town. We have a local museum that is a must-see. There is a Civil War cemetery in Pt. Clear, near the Grand Hotel. I would recommend the Grand Hotel for Sunday champagne brunch. They have an excellent buffet! Reservations recommended. We have a Welcome Center in downtown Fairhope that has several brochures of attractions in the area.
I will consider a small dog, although in general I feel it would be disruptive to have another dog in my house with my two small dogs.
Feel free to contact me with any questions and I will be happy to answer them! Read my reviews for additional information.
Access to the neighborhood swimming pool and tennis courts. Just ask me for my pool key if you're interested in enjoying these amenities.
I love the quiet charm and beautiful landscaping of the golf course in my back yard. If you want to take a walk, jog, or have a relaxing stay, this is the place to be.
Outstanding! Very comfy and Janet is the perfect host. In-room coffee, water and refrigerator added to the perfection. Fairhope is a great place to visit and revisit time and again.
We only stayed one night, but Janet was welcoming and checking in and out was easy. Super comfortable bed. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker, tv with cable, and plenty of towels. It felt like staying at an aunt's house. Janet's pets are nice and the cat is extra friendly. Easy comfort.
A lovely place to stay even tho i was in someones house i had complete privacy just a great alternative to a hotel room Kevin Boston ,Ma. 3/2014
I highly recommend Janet as a host, and the accommodations were lovely and exactly what I needed, as well as reasonable. It was nice to have the fridge, microwave and coffee maker right in the room. I love animals so enjoyed having the dogs and cat around as well, even though they were certainly not intrusive. Thank you so much for sharing your home, Janet! It was a pleasure to meet you as well as Jasper, Jasmine, and Moe:)
Janet's home is warm and inviting. Very clean and comfortable. A stone's throw from downtown Fairhope. And her pets are a great plus
Everything was great. It was late notice and she replied very fast. Check in was the easiest I've ever had. She was very friendly and hospitable. The area was very quiet and safe, I can't wait to visit Alabama again.
Escape from Siberia aka Des Moines, Iowa was the theme of my winter ’14 road trip, taking me to Fairhope, Al for no special reason other than to be close to Mobile & Gulf Shores, AL. A first-timer with Airbnb, I found the process of finding a home and securing the stay very easy. It's a 100% trust system that amazed me.
What attracted me to the home was the posted feedback, availability of two rooms, location and a great price.
The home: great location, easy to find, the rooms were clean and stocked with water, microwave and small fridge, coffee, towels & soap. TV and wifi was greatly appreciated.
Janet was an excellent host, providing us what she wrote up and offered suggestions as needed. I would recommend Janet 110% to anyone visiting the Fairhope area or basically within 30 miles. I would definitely return in a heartbeat.
This was my first airbnb experience - and it was fabulous. Janet's house is in a quiet neighborhood and is very comfortable. The guest quarters are on the second floor and completely private. The bed and bed linens are lovely; Janet has also provided a microwave, a coffeemaker (along with coffee, mugs, sugar etc), and a small refrigerator, all for the guest's exclusive use. There is a flat screen TV and wireless internet. The bathroom is very well appointed and spotless. Janet is a great host - she even invited me to come along on a group bike ride, which was terrific! I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I told Janet that she could serve as a model for how to be a perfect airbnb host! (Also I loved her little dogs, Jasper and Jasmine!)
The reservation was canceled 79 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Nice house, which backs onto a golf course a little outside of Fairhope. Jan is lovely and let us use her washing machine. We were able to use the two upstairs bedrooms, which was great, the house is clean and tidy and it is a five minute drive into Fairhope. Better to like animals as Jan has a few pets, including an adorable cat!
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
