  • IIya was ver accommodating and responsive to my request. His apartment is very tidy and had everything we needed. The neighborhood is also safe and it has everything you need. No regrets here at all. It's right for the price!

  • Ilya has a cute little studio apartment. It's clean and neat and organized well, setup in a way that takes advantage of the space. Ilya was in a hurry to get somewhere when we checked in, so I didn't get to talk to him much, but he was polite and friendly and he responded quickly when I asked him a question via text the next day. The bed is comfortable and the shower has good pressure and plenty of hot water. There's no cable, wifi, or a/c, but none of those things were promised and the price is good compared to similar listings. There's a nice view of the Verrazano–Narrows Bridge from the fire escape, but the apartment is far enough away that you can't hear the bridge traffic. There's street traffic below of course and you'll want to sleep with the window open in the spring and summer, so light sleepers beware. My wife and I weren't woken up at all by the noise, but the sun was really bright in the mornings and a heavier set of curtains would be appreciated.

The neighborhood surrounding the apartment worked out well for us. It's a working-class, family neighborhood without a lot of tourists or uptight hipsters. Neither my wife or I has ever lived in a large city, but we felt perfectly comfortable walking around after the sun went down. The apartment is five blocks from the metro and from there you can ride to Manhattan or the more northern parts of Brooklyn pretty quickly and cheaply. We spent our first two nights in a hotel just off of time square, so it was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle at Ilya's for the next three nights, while still retaining the option to spend a day in another borough with minimal cost and travel time. We drove down to Coney Island on the last day of our stay. It's only 10 minutes from the apartment by car and there was plenty of parking since the amusement parks aren't open the first week of April. There's decent parking around the apartment itself as well. It took me a while to find a space when we first arrived, but I ended up finding one on the street about two blocks away. If you're a good parallel parker, you shouldn't have a problem. Definitely beats the $40+ a night I paid to park in Manhattan.

Overall, we had a great experience. No serious complaints. Thanks, Ilya.

  • The flat was excellent - just like as advertised, with a very comfortable bed and good furniture. We didn't spend any time in the neighborhood. We were there only one day and spent that day at Coney Island.

If you are planning only a short stay, keep in mind that the host requires a $40 cleaning fee in cash immediately upon arrival. For longer stays, that's not a big deal, but for one night it means you'll pay more than 150% of the listed price.

  • IIlya was helpful whenever we needed it . The house was as expected , clean with no issues . Very safe neighborhood with subway at 5 min walk , lots of shops and bars in the area . Definitely we would love to stay there again .

  • We stayed in Ilya's apartment for 5 nights. We really enjoyed our stay. Ilya was very friendly and uncomplicated. The apartment was beautiful and clean, just like in the pictures. And it was very well equipped, there was everything we needed. The area of the apartment seemend very save and there were a lot of opportunities to buy Food nearby. It was almost perfect! There was just one disadvantage: it took us 50min to 1 Hour to go to the centre of Manhattan (Times Square).. But the apartment was so great and comfortable that we thought it is worth the Long subway Ride! :) All in all we had a great stay in Ilya's apartment. :)

  • We loved the owner of this apartment! He is kind, attentive and responsive! He taught us how to navigate in the area, where it is better advised to go see the local attractions and transport in what is best to get there! The apartment was exactly the way we expect to see her! This is a very comfortable apartment with a large bed and all the amenities! There is everything from dishes, ending with modern appliances! Bay Ridge is a wonderful area for a comfortable home! It is very quiet, clean and beautiful! Lots of good and not expensive shops! Beautiful view, especially at night, the bridge Verrazano. Nearby is the beautiful Fort Hamilton Park.

  • We stayed at Ilya's White studio during a week for the hollidays.
Our stay there was lovelly. Ilya is a great host and very helpful.

The studio is exactly how it looks in the pictures, maybe even nicer.
It was big enought for to people to live in very comfortably and it has everything you might need. The kitchen was very well equipped.
The bed is very comfortable and there are two closets where you can put your luggage. Also there is a big set of drawers for your clothes.

The neighborhood is very nice and we always felt safe. It's close to the subway, about 40 minutes from Manhattan. There are plenty of restaurants, delis and grocery stores nearby, a place to do your laundry nearby. Basically everything you need!
(BTW, there is a GREAT bagel place nearby called Bagel's Supreme)

We would deffinitivelly go back here our next time visiting NYC!!

  • The studio is clean, spacious for two people and very close to the subway. It was a pleasure to stay there and Ilya as a host is very communicative and reliable. We arrived a bit later than expected but he gave precise directions and was around to welcome us into the flat. Highly recommend!

  • Great apt for price. Neighborhood is quiet and clean, there are a lot of shops and cafés nearby, and also not far from subway. Ride to Manhattan takes about 35 minutes, so you should have something to read)

Hi, Airbnb and the community! Traveling is my passion. With airbnb I have new opportunities to choose from different places to stay on my vacation or business trips. That's just amazing. More options to meet my criteria in style, amenities and location. More flexibility in price. Meeting local people to understand the culture and feeling that you never get with hotels' rooms.
