large spacious house with all the comforts of home and then some. a set-dresser/antique dealer from way back, this place is as cool and convenient and interesting as it gets.
Right on West End near EVERYTHING :) Oldest Historic Neighborhood in Nashville. Very SAFE, very convenient. 7/10ths of a mile from interstate; bus stop right out the front door; 5 minute drive from downtown; 1 minute to coffee, eats, grocery; Right next to the GreenWay.
Less than five minutes to Green Hills Mall, Hillsboro Village, Downtown, Charlotte Ave, Percy Warner Park, Germantown.
I've lived in Nashville 12 years. Cherokee/Richland Park is definitely the safest, most convenient spot ever.
Room is a private with bath across the hall. Great for someone who wants to hang out or for someone who wants to just crash. Use of common rooms and kitchen is very much welcomed. I'll even do dishes.. just ask that you rinse out the food and the sink.
There is a fire station across the street. Occasionally they'll get a call in the middle of the night. Earplugs a plus.
AND I'll even make you breakfast if you are so inclined. Was in the restaurant business for many years. The omelet, the german pancake or the oatmeal al dente.. these are my specialties.
I have a small dog. He's a star. No really, he is. #buddythedog
easier to get to than most hotels. community minded people who enjoy travelers. main living space is common. large grand piano and wonderfully cozy vibey kitchen.
SIDE NOTE: there is nothing posh here so if you're looking for that please book elsewhere. the charm and warmth of this is that it is not without its eccentricities and fun foibles. We like it that way. come if you like vibe and are kind.
Kitchen, bath, Netflix, Wi-FI, Breakfast.
Interaction with Guests
I play by ear. If guests would like to hang out, then if my schedule is free, I enjoy hosting and showing folks around.
Richland/Cherokee Park. Its beautiful!
Oldest historic neighborhood in Nashville. 1938 structure. House is vibey and cool. AGAIN, there is nothing posh here so if you're looking for that please book elsewhere. The charm and warmth of this is that it is not without its eccentricities and fun foibles. We like it that way. Come if you like vibe and are kind.
Bus stop right out the front door. Rent a car or Taxi or i can drive. Plenty of on site parking.

10 to 10 are the Quiet hours. If you come in late, come in quietly. You'll want to say hello to the dogs when you come in. Not kidding.
No overnight guests who have not booked or been pre-approved. This is not a party house, it's a place of rest and warmth and love and kindness with intentional efforts made at keeping the energy peaceful. Please respect this and come be a part of it.
If you stay the night out elsewhere, please communicate with me. Coming in at 4am is NOT acceptable behavior.
My refund policy is moderate but that does not mean i will refund you if you come to my house and make a fool of yourself.
Last minute bookings must sign an electronic waver stating they will not give negative review based on readiness of the environment. In other words, don't come last minute expecting 5 STAR environs. There may be dishes to be washed and the maid might not have come to clean the basin. We are accommodating you. Respect that and be gracious.

this is not a hotel. clean up after yourself.
USE DESIGNATED COASTERS. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR WATER DAMAGED TO FURNITURE.
AND with that, my apologies to the innocent, we really do
look forward to you being here! :)
(a kind note for people who used enamel based products: i do not use nail polish, hair spray and other enamel based products. the surfaces of this house were free from these kinds of things until recently someone stayed and ruined a wooden bedroom countertop. made me very sad. so, if you use, please clean up. i'm the nicest guy in the world but i can't overlook this kind of thing.
Again Please use the provided coasters.
First off, Josh is an excellent host and he has great recommendations on restaurants and places to visit. His house is in a great location and is clean and quiet. Would definitely stay here again since we felt comfortable and were welcomed with open arms (literally!),
Josh was a lovely host and his home is inviting and comfortable. Our room was perfect. We slept well, felt welcome and very much enjoyed his canine companions. If we make it back to Nashville, we would definitely like to stay here again!!!
We dubbed Josh the most interesting man in the world during our trip to Nashville. Josh and his pets made us feel right at home. The accommodations are comfortable and inviting. We had a great time just hanging out and talking with Josh and other travelers when we had some down time. If Josh offers to make you breakfast, do not pass that opportunity up- he's a fabulous cook! I can't wait to go back to Nashville and stay with Josh again. We didn't just have an amazing, comfortable, safe, clean place to lay our heads while traveling, we made a lifelong friend.
Josh was our first experience with Airbnb and a tough one to beat. He could not do more for us ....he even offered to drive us to a restaurant. His home was exactly what was described and close to transportation. Our room was clean and cozy and Josh could not do enough for us.
He has 2 lovely and sweet dogs as well a cat all of whom are the friendliest. The neighborhood his home is in is absolutely lovely.
Josh also could not be more friendly, interesting and on top of that a great cook. He made the best eggs I have ever had....(they are referred to as push eggs).
We will be back to see Josh for sure!
Josh was a truly outstanding and generous host. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to do whatever he could to facilitate a great experience for us. His home is an artists haven- very comfortable, clean, and interesting. We enjoyed great sleep both nights we stayed. Josh cooked a gourmet breakfast both mornings of our stay. His 2 dogs were very sweet and polite. Parking was not a problem, and an uber ride downtown was less than $15. A great place to stay!
This being my first airbnb experience, I didn't know what to expect. Josh was a breath of fresh air. He greeted us with the warmth of an old friend. His home is cozy. Josh is a very interesting person, and made us feel comfortable right away. He helped us with suggestion as to where we should visit for an interesting time in Nashville. All his suggestions were spot on. He made us delicious omlets for breakfast, as well as German pancakes. Josh is very health conscious, and everything he prepared was organic. Josh is a very creative artist and musician. For New Years eve, he suggested we go to Robert's Western World on Broadway to hear a band that he knew. He looked online for us to see who was playing. He even joined us to hear the band. They were awsome! Transportation from his house was very easy to the downtown area. All in all Josh made our visit to Nashville the best it could be. I would definitely use airbnb again. Thank you Josh!
Joshua was a great host... we had a lot of laughs, interesting conversations ...and he made some great breakfast for us, especially his "german" pancakes have been fit for a king. he gave us some real good tips for the right location in downtown nashville. i´m so thankful and i´ll be back in nashville someday.
