Quaint, rustic and charming country home in a peaceful natural setting, on one acre surrounded by trees and a stream and protected wetlands out back. Wonderful for nature lovers, just cross the fallen log in the backyard and follow trails that lead to an open fern gully field or sit outside and enjoy the various birds and wildlife.
Ideally located 5 min from route 66 (Westhampton Road) the house is five miles from Smith College and all of the shops, restaurants and cultural activities of Main Street, Northampton, and four miles from downtown Easthampton, The Williston Northampton School, Mt. Tom and the Eastworks building. Though close to services and amenities, our neighbors across the road, vegetable farmers, give the area a distinctly rural feel to it.
The property consists of a three bedroom, one bath main house as well as a loft-studio-in law suite addition (available for rent separately for those needing additional space). Lots of natural light streaming in and artisan details throughout. Simply furnished, the two upstairs bedrooms in the main house feature queen sized beds, the bedroom on the lower level features a full/double bed, the great/living room has a double/full size futon (typically left open as a daybed for lounging, but can easily be closed as a sofa) as well as a sofa bed that opens to double/full size bed accommodating up to a total nine guests.
The great/living room features four seating areas and lots of windows as well as two ceiling fans (there are also ceiling fans in each bedroom) which, with the open floor plan keeps the house amazingly comfortable during the summer months. The dining area seats six and the kitchen is large and fully equipped for preparing all meals at home. There is also a washer and dryer available in between the kitchen and bathroom, a great convenience. There is a screened in porch as well as a sun room, which are great ways to enjoy the scenery while remaining indoors. There is wireless internet available throughout the house and a large flat screen tv with roku internet tv (with dozens of channels and hundreds of free tv shows, documentaries and movies) in the living room.
The studio in-law addition is a large open loft space that has its own entrance (a central door that locks on both sides separates the units) and features a double/full size bed, above a small kichen/bath combo area. The studio can be rented as an addition to the main house at a daily rate of $150.

We had a wonderful stay at Erica's farm house. She was always quick to respond to any inquiry before and during our stay. The house has a very warm feel and was the perfect place to stay with our friends. Our party consisted of 2 families with 3 kids total. Each family took a bedroom and we had an extra to spare if we needed it. Our pack n plays fit well in our rooms and the kids slept comfortably. We were commenting on how nice it would be to stay here during high spring and summer when plants are in bloom. It really is a very peaceful spot.
Erica's wooden house was lovely, cozy, and private. With the wood and decor combined, it felt handmade. Loved the slightly tiered floors with different flooring that divided the space.
Really appreciate your hospitality as well. Despite our changing dates, you were always welcome. The snow was shoveled for a cleared walkway. Lots of towels and bedding (bedrooms!).
Overall very satisfied and happy.
Erica was a great host. Very available and super responsive. The house was warm and inviting while most of the area was buried in snow and plunging temps. She was even so kind as to allow us to check in early!
I can't say enough about how great this stay was! Erica was very responsive in communicating through email and text and very patient with my cold and snowy weather concerns. When we arrived, the driveway was plowed and the walkway shoveled. Inside the home was so beautiful - brick and hardwood floors, cozy loungers with lots of pillows, a super cool kitchen with a brick floor stocked with pots and pans to use, and so many neat cozy rooms to choose from (it was just the two of us for the trip). And the heat was quick to warm the place! What a wonderful snowy getaway!
Our host, Erica, was great. She responded quickly to our emails and made us feel welcome. We did not meet her in person but she gave detailed descriptions of the house and how to get in and what to do when we left. The house was as advertised and very comfortable, with plenty of pillows, blankets, towels, etc. It was very relaxing and quiet.
My seven friends and I had an amazing time here. The house is beautiful and full of good energy. We loved the huge open living room so we could all gather together with ease. Everything was very clean. Close to lots of good restaurants and shops. The host was wonderful to work with. Thank you!
