You'd never know this lovely apartment used to be a garage. It's beautiful, has the amenities needed, the space desired, bed was comfortable, its quiet and set apart yet easy access to Westport and Newport. Love the towel warmer in the bathroom, bring some slippers to keep your feet warm or that could just be me.

Response from Brian:
Hi Linda- Ann thanks for your nice review . The garage is no more and was demolished . The cottage is a new build timber frame contemporary building ! And we're sorry you didn't spot the leopard print cosy slippers stored in the hanging section of the rail , and always freshly laundered after each use

We had a great time staying at the cottage. It had everything we needed and was a great base for exploring the area. We were given a lovely welcome pack of scones, jam, fresh fruit etc. Would recommend for couples. Thanks to Máiréad and Brian!

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay when in Westport. The cottage was just lovely and it was so peaceful, tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac. The location was perfect, quite close to Westport House with easy walking access into town. We found it nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of the town yet all amenities were easily accessed. The cottage itself was very homely and clean and it had everything that we needed. Mairead and Brian were excellent hosts, very friendly and accommodating. The welcome pack on arrival was a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend this cottage to a couple visiting Westport.

We stayed at Brian and Maireads garden cottage for 4 days with our 11 year old daughter everything was perfect from check in to check out all the little extras were a special touch from offering bed linen for my daughter as we brought a blow up bed for her to the fresh fruit scones jam on arrival it was just perfect they thought of everything there was nothing we needed for . Mairead was very helpful with information about the local area and checked in with us by text to make sure all was ok and if we needed anything. Excellent few days spent at the cottage would highly recommend thanks again Mairead and Brian

Amazing location nestled inside the most beautiful garden and so peaceful and quiet. The house was full of natural light and super cosy at night. We walked to westport town the first evening and it was sheer bliss. Mairead was a fantastic host and we look forward to returning again very soon.

We loved our short stay in Brian & Máiréad's cottage in Westport. Their son, Simon, very graciously met us, helped us check in and told us about live music that was scheduled for that evening at the Sheebeen right down the road. We enjoyed the music that night and dinner there the following night. We were also very grateful for the welcome pack waiting for us at the cottage which included eggs, milk, scones and jam - it was a perfect breakfast to start our day. We had some great nights sleep in the firm bed and enjoyed the spa-like bathroom with rain shower. The place was wonderfully situated on Clew Bay, making for perfect sunset photo opportunities. I would not hesitate to stay here again if we are back in the area!

This is a great place to stay for a couple. I highly recommend it. Brian and Mairead were welcoming and always on hand to answer any questions. The cottage had access to a beautiful garden. The kitchen had everything we needed. The location was brilliant for cycling to Westport Quay, Westport and the greenway. Having a good pub/restaurant within walking distance was brilliant.
