A Walk-track Mecca
Akaroa has become famous ss a waljtracks place and there are a number of walk tracks starting and finishing at the gate at Tree Crop Farm. One of the most popular tracks is the Woodills Track that goes north or south to the village cross country and the new Curry Reserve Track that traces the headwaters of the Grehan Valley Steam to the site of the Antarctic explorer Frank Worsley’s first childhood home. The information centre in Akaroa has photocopies of all walk tracks in the area for a small fee.
