This is a brand new listing with all new furnishings throughout the entire apartment. I will be updating the pictures as well as adding more details over the next few days. Feel free to email me with any questions you may have. Thanks for looking!
This is a beautiful apartment located a 5 minute walk from Ebisu station. Right next to the Sapporo Ebisu Garden Place which offers many wonderful restaurants and great shopping.
NOTE: We also have a second listing a 30 second walk away. If you have a group of 7 or more we recommend booking both apartments if available.
This room is prepare using a cleaning company that supplies freshly cleaned linens upon your arrival. We assume that you will be sleeping in pairs. If you require separate sleeping arrangements please let us know so that we can prepare the appropriate number of sheets and towels for you.

3 ~ 4 guests - 1 bed, 1 sofa bed, 1 futon
4 ~ 6 guests - 2 on bed, 2 on sofa bed, 2 on separate futons
The apartment is technically a two bedroom apartment (by Japanese standards), but we often leave the dividing doors open. If you have a group, feel free to close the dividing (sliding) doors for privacy during your stay if you desire. The black and white rug is one room which you walk through to get to the other room with the red rug and bed.
The shower is an older Japanese style shower that requires you to start a pilot light every time. There are step by step instructions on how to do this provided in the apartment.
It is pretty big, but it will be very cozy with a group of 6 guests.
* Hotel professionally cleaned linens and towels
* Balcony with table and chairs for relaxing
* Free Mobile WIFI
* 32" LED TV
* 2 full closets
* air conditioning

The apartment is in the swank Ebisu area, with countless eateries, clubs, karaoke, bars, entertainment, and shopping. It is the best of both worlds in the sense that the apartment is at the top of the hill looking down on the hussle and bussle, and being on the top floor you are literally above it all. Take the elevator down, walk 30 seconds and you are in the midst of it yourself as well.
Ebisu Beer Garden is a short walk away, with the famous beer museum. You can sample many different styles of Ebisu beer and try out their restaurant if time permits.
The apartment has been completely renovated and is in a reinforced concrete building, safe from earthquakes. Japan is extremely safe, so I can nearly guarantee you will experience no problems with safety.
-Ebisu 5 min walk to the station for trains or buses. Taxis on every corner near the apartment. (Best shopping, restaurants, clubs, etc.)

-Shinjuku 6 min train (Busiest station in the world)

-Ikebukuro 25 min train (Shopping)
-Akihabara 27 min train (Electronic and Anime Central)
##Recommendations or Guidance##
Travel books and guides are in the apartment for you to use. I have lived in Tokyo for 4 years and can help recommend what sights to see in Tokyo. I also love eating out and can give some great guidance about where to go out for a nice dinner and have a good time.
##Airport Limousine Bus##
I would always recommend taking the airport limousine, as it is the easiest and least amount of stress in getting to Tokyo.
**NOTE** I have provided bus details in the directions section, but please make sure to get off at "Excel Hotel Tokyu" at "Mark City" in Shibuya.
##Tokyo Tour Guides##
After you book and airbnb allows us to share contact and web information, we are happy to refer you to free tour guide services available to travelers.
##Phones or Bike Rental##
I have 3 phones available for rent during your stay for 500 yen a day. These phones allow you to receive all incoming calls for free. You can also call anyone in Japan for free if you keep it under 10 minutes. I can give you more details on the phones if requested.
Many banks do not accept international credit cards in Japan. You will either need to use Citibank or a 711 to make a withdrawal. Both of these businesses are a few blocks from the apartment. Also, please contact your bank in advance to inform them you are traveling to prevent a lock on your card when you use it.
My goal is for you to enjoy your stay in my apartment and Tokyo. Please do not hesitate to ask me for anything you may need or suggestions for making your stay easier and more comfortable.
I hope to see you in Tokyo soon!

It was wonderful staying at Dee&Jay's place! The location was awesome (though if you're not used to navigating through windy alleys in Japan, it may be a bit hard to find the place at first), the apartment was clean and cozy, and Dee&Jay are experienced hosts. I think the place is best for 2-3 people.
This apartment is *fantastically* located. Literally a five minute walk from Ebisu station, and a stone's throw from amazing restaurants galore. The bedding and furniture was clean and comfortable, and we all slept very well while we were staying here. The portable wi-fi access point came in incredibly handy, as did the house guide that was conveniently left out for us. Super awesome!
The bath was definitely challenging though. For all the pomp and circumstance of starting the water heater, you'd expect an amazing, skin-blasting shower! Sadly, this was not to be -- the water pressure was barely high enough to keep warm in the shower, let alone have our skin blasted off. Granted, we came during a time of record snowstorms and cold in Tokyo, so our experience may not be at all representative.
That said, we still enjoyed our stay here immensely!
Loved this little apartment, it's bright, clean and easy to stay in, the area is perfect for exploring Ebisu and close to the metro….Dee & Jay very quick to respond and easy access thanks to good directions. Definitely stay here again.
Thanks Devin for the kind and quick response during our short stay. Must say the place is well kept as per when it first caught our eye in Airbnb! Very cosy at a reasonable price too. Appreciate the kind hospitality when we needed help. But things need not be perfect to make the trip a memorable and cherished one! Arigato!
I am my husband loved Devin's charming apartment and the area. There is a nice balcony and the apartment is quiet.
The location is very convenient, too - short walk from Ebisu station and nice bars and restaurant around. There is a small store next to it to buy food. Devin was quick to respond and helpful. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in Tokyo.
Devin & Jacob have a great location here, and were super responsive. I had a bit of trouble with the shower (which is scheduled for replacement) and they were right over to help get things going. Laundry unit was just installed so that will be handier for folks looking for a longer stay. The portable wifi unit is one of the newer 75mbit ones and worked great all over Tokyo. For those who like to talk nerdy the internet latency to San Francisco was around 150ms and worked great for VoIP and RDP. Great place and hosts!
Devin was a great host. He is responsive with my questions about the apartment. I plan to go back in May and will look into booking with him again.
Devin's apartment is in a great location. Devin was a great host, quick to respond and very accomodating. The apartment is clean and bright. We were four people (one couple, to singles) and stayed for 4 nights. It was roomy enough for all of us. We had a wonderful stay and I highly recommend this place.
An awesome experience to stay in this little apartment in Ebisu. The location is fantastic, a little out of the hustle and bustle of the major Shibuya area however close enough to get there by a single stop on the train. Some beautiful surrounding streets, restaurants and walks to go on especially the gardens just up the road. The apartment itself was very comfortable, and is in a very easy to access building. The internal features were good and for a Tokyo apartment, adequate in size. The only small difficulty to master is the hot water unit for the shower. There is a manual which explains how to use this but still it may take a little while to understand. Perhaps in future there will be an even clearer way to navigate the system. Overall a great experience and Devin was helpful during our stay. Highly recommended.
We're glad to know you had such a nice stay in the apartment Giosue. As the apartment contains a Japanese shower, it can be a bit tricky to turn on the hot water, so we hope that the shower manual with step-by-step directions is helpful for our guests. Thanks for being such a great guest while staying at the apartment. You are welcome to stay with us again anytime you come back to Tokyo!
I stayed in Devin's flat for four nights. It is spacious and comfortable with lovely interior decor. The location is nice and very convenient- very close to Ebisu station which is connected by JR line to main stations Shinjuku and Shibuya. The portable wifi that comes with the flat is very handy indeed. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again.
