Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Little Pudding Cottage is a beautiful example of the classic country hideaway. Nestled in the Welsh countryside, just into the Cambrian Mountains, it enjoys the splendour of nature and peaceful calm of times past. The accommodation is full of character and original charm, while maintaining the modern comforts of home. With its own garden, this former shepherd's cottage is surrounded by rugged hills and an unspoilt rural landscape at the very end of a single-track road. The perfect rural retreat!

The space
The detached cottage is very remote and you really do feel like you are getting away from it all. There are plenty of walks on the doorstep where you are very unlikely to meet another person. The conservatory gives you spectacular views whatever the weather, whilst the summerhouse is the perfect place to have a glass of wine and watch the sunset.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the property which includes a cosy sitting room, dining room, conservatory with stunning views, a downstairs bathroom, kitchen and lobby. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and the enclosed garden contains a summerhouse, barn and a number of seating areas to enjoy the spectacular views.

Other things to note
The cottage is eco-friendly. It is off the national grid so power is supplied by solar panels in the summer and a generator in winter. The water for the cottage is supplied from its own borehole, filtered straight into the taps. There is a woodburner, which also heats the hot water for the central heating and plenty of logs, and oil fired central heating (less eco!) for when the fire is not in use.

The cottage has satellite broadband which is OK for checking emails but too slow for streaming videos and music.

I love Little Pudding Cottage because it is so unique and remote, and want to share it with others. It is not serviced accommodation so I can keep prices as low as possible and allow greater flexibility in availability. I therefore ask that guests help to look after the property and leave it ready for the next guests. In reality this means:

1. Cleaning the house at the end of your stay (all cleaning materials supplied)
2. Taking your own bedding and towels for your stay (duvet and pillows provided - you just need to bring your own duvet cover and pillows cases or hire them from our neighbours at Cwm Chwefru cottages)
3. Putting out rubbish and recycling for collection

I am a music teacher who loves the buzz of working with young people. However in the holidays I like to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet! I found Little Pudding Cottage a few years ago and fell in love with it. I would love to share it with others who are looking for a similar rural holiday. It is remote with stunning views, long walks on the doorstep, streams, hills, wildlife, stars - the perfect place to escape and recharge the batteries!
