The landscape team.
We stayed at the landscape property at 1945 Resaguin (they have many places), and it was comfortable, clean and well located. The breakfast was good also. The staff are very helpful and kind particularly Fernando. It's a few blocks from the Sopacachi cable car stop ( a must do) and a cheap taxi ride up the hill from the main night life etc although Sopacachi restaurants are closer and good also.
One criticism is the shared showers on the 1st floor - the rooms are in a state of disrepair, half completed and 1 of the showers is rubbish. I'm sure that will be addressed so don't let it put you off
Wonderful place in a residential area, big rooms and good staff. The bathroom and toilet are shared with the rest of the guests. The shower is really nice though! Breakfast is included and really good, the host will make you feel at home!
Perfect host very Nice professionnal available ans helpfull good breakfast lots Of Nice people.
Very Nice staff Great view and neigborhood i recommand this place!!! See u soon
This is a review of two halves. On one hand, the B&B is in a lovely, big old house. The actual bedrooms are nice. They're big, clean, access points for devices to charge, storage etc. the commons spaces are well kitted out with a sofa, dining room and TV in the living are with the kitchen having everything you need to cook yourself and meal and enjoy it. They're also both clean. Despite comments from other reviewers, the location is very good. It's in a safe neighbourhood and close enough to walk into the centre. As with all of La Paz, there's a hill to be walked at some point so a can does come in handy when you're heading back.
Now the second half. It feels as though the guys running it are a bit out of their depth now. To substantiate this, here's why we say that.
They're hardly around to help. We arrived in the early hours and were successfully shown in but couldn't find anyone the following morning when we got up. This might be because it's gotten busy for them and they're running two houses now. However, airbnb is about 'hosts' and it being a bit more than a hotel.
There's was nothing to tell you what to do, who to call, that you could use the kitchen, that there was wifi etc. Basic stuff to help you settle in and not need to rely on the hosts. Despite numerous attempts, we just couldn't get towels. A common problem as we heard others asking too. They were always 'drying' apparently. Bulbs needed changing in the rooms which can be a nightmare at 4am when it's pitch black when you arrive. The bathrooms need some TLC. Nothing major but the sink leaked, there were exposed wires in the wall and holes covered up by a piece of plasterboard leaning against them.
So here's the rub. Despite the issues, this place is cheap and that has to be born in mind when reading the review. The bedroom we were in was nice and clean and we felt safe. It just feels like it's all gotten a little big for the guys and they're forgetting the basics. Let people know what to do when they're there, just a little sheet with the basics on. Make yourselves available. Sort the towels out and spend a day or so sorting the bathrooms out and you're there.
We don't think this is an 'AirBnB'. It's a hostel that thinks it's a hosted home. It's treated like a hostel by some guests. Towels thrown in the floor in the bathroom, water left running etc. If you're cool with that, it won't be a surprise. But again, it's cheap and safe.
We wouldn't stay again but that's down to us not really being hostel travellers.
El grupo de jovenes que ayudan a los huespedes se portaron de maravilla y siempre disponibles ayudar. Recomiendo al lugar por el precio, el servicio, y su ubicacion segura.
Very nice house! Giant! The room is very comfy so was the shower. Junior was very kind to us. And I felt really good.
Although, we couldn't find many hosts inside the house and, since we arrived quite late, we couldn't receive all the info about the house and we lose the breakfast in the next morning. That was quite sad! haha
