About This Listing
Our large private room with a private deck with spanning views of Noe Valley, backyard, and laundry in the house is a perfect way to experience the quieter side of SF. We are located very close to two public transit lines, 15 minutes from downtown.
Our beautiful double-sized bedroom is part of a 3-Bedroom Victorian - available while we are on vacation in S.E. Asia. It feels like being in a attic studio apartment with the bed tucked into it's own nook with a separate seating area. There is a private roof deck that can only be accessed through the bedroom with incredible views of downtown SF, Bernal Heights and on a clear day, the East Bay. The house itself is large and comfortable in a quaint family-oriented neighborhood called Noe Valley. There are two living rooms, a fully outfitted kitchen (espresso maker, dishwasher etc.), laundry room, and giant backyard. If you have a vehicle, there is a private garage for your use as long as your car is of the more compact variety.
The weather in Noe Valley is typically warmer and sunnier than other San Francisco neighborhoods (microclimates) due to the way Twin Peaks parts the fog. We are located one block from a neighborhood park with a Gym, basketball courts, and dog run.
Church street is two blocks East and has a few mom & pop coffee shops, corner stores and restaurants. We are a 10 minute walk from 24th street which has a vibrant local community with more shops, Whole Foods, and numerous restaurants. A 15 minute walk to Twin Peaks road.
A gorgeous area to take walks and explore, yet close to multiple forms of public transportation. The J train is two blocks away on Church, the 24 bus line is around the corner, and five minutes away is the I-280. The J will lead you to Dolores Park, Castro, downtown, straight to the Embarcadero. The 24 bus goes through Castro, Haight, UCSF and terminates in the Fillmore district.
Your housemates are two young professional women in their late 20s that work typical office hours and a sweet red-headed dog named Izzy. When around are social and friendly but lead their own busy private lives. You'll rarely see them outside of early morning or early evening hours.
You'll have access to the room, upstairs bathroom (with clawfoot tub and shower) and all of the common areas of the house.
Interaction with Guests
A friend will be around to welcome you, show you the house, and get you acquainted with the area. We are currently traveling in Asia.
Noe Valley is a quiet and quaint part of San Francisco with great hilly views whether you're on the hill or in the valley. It's usually warmer here due to Twin Peaks blocking the fog, a plus if you're not always excited to be enshrouded by fog.
There are two main forms of Public Transit within two blocks, the J Muni Train, and the 24 Muni Bus. You can get to the Bart via the J train and 48 Bus in 15 minutes, or go downtown on the J train in 15 minutes. The 24 Bus brings you to Pacific Heights via Divisadero Street.
This is a home, we're seeking respectful guests who aren't looking to bring the party home. We ask that the renter(s) are the only people who stay here, no unexpected guests.
About the Host, David
I lived in Williamsburg, Brooklyn for 10 years where I did design, consulting and owned a design + electronics retail store called Dijital Fix. I relocated to San Francisco in 2012 with the business. I have a big furry dog named Nino who's part Chow and part Swiss Mountain. I love traveling and try to meet my sister somewhere in the world at once a year. Easy-going and low-maintenance, responsible person.
