A Sicilian holiday, which combining charm and relax in nature, is waiting for you!
Enjoy nice weather, mild and spring climate even in winter.
Villa Le Tortore is a typical Manor Farm House of the early 20th century, recently renovated with taste, combining tradition and functionality: original antique pieces and wooden windows frames were maintained as well as the pitch pavements combined with a heating floor system serving all rooms, which are really comfortable, bright and airy thanks also to their vaulting roof.
The villa presents three bedrooms with traditional forged-iron beds: one of those is the master bedroom, en suite, another one is a nice double bedroom with two twin beds and decorated with taste, while the least one is a single bedroom, with a poster bed embellished with Moroccan wild silk hand-spun bedspread.
The two bathrooms are both full with shower, in Italian style.
Many other facilities are provided in the kitchen, so cute due to the original tiles, to the clay-oven and the ceramic basins! It's very well furnished and equipped also with a tiny cooking nécessaire of dressings and spices.
The dining room is so bright and fresh, facing south-west; as it's directly open on the main terrace, as well the living room. This one offers a well stocked library and other materials for recreation, such as satellite TV, radio and games for all ages. Moreover thanks to the comfortable sofa bed can be set in the study-bedroom, if necessary.
A wonderful panoramic views of the sea towards the coastline, through carob and olive trees, from the main terrace furnished for outdoor living and surrounded by the rural nature of Ragusa: the amber sunsets and fresh air of evening melt into so nice with the bucolic atmosphere of the unspoiled farm property (33 acres of private land) between cats, grazing cows and some donkey!
- satellite TV and radio, books and games for all ages,
- gas oven with stoves (4 burners), fridge+freezer;
- kitchen well equipped also with other small household appliances;
- washing machine, soaps and hair drier;
- iron and iron-table;
- beach equipments as parasol, folding chairs and toys;
- heating and fans in all the main rooms;
- wide parking and garden with a BBQ to do pic-nics with all your family.
The villa is an holiday house in active and productive farm.
Thus of course there are also domestic animals: cows and Modican calves, Ragusan mules, a few chickens, many cats and two nice dogs ...
We love pets, and also recognising that each of them has a personal character, we believe that introducing them in an environment alien to them with different species may not be appropriate, hurting animals to each other, so it is not allowed to bring their pets from company.
In this regard, remember that the environment is so full of allergens, and is therefore strongly not recommended to those predisposed.
Please, also do not forget other beast reasons to come:
- fantastic food and wine background!
- not far from the seaside centres and nightlife, remaining far enough to rest peacefully;
- near to Ragusa Ibla: This jewel of town is like as a crèche of the baroque golden age;
- excellent geographical position, it is easily accessible from, Catania, Syracuse and Agrigento, and close to other urban centres designated UNESCO World Heritage: beautiful baroque town centres where enjoy a walk tasting delicious ice creams;
- also interesting for children who can explore several ancient Greek and Roman excavations on coastline, or fantasying in the labyrinth of the Castle of Donnafugata.
Due to poor public transports, own/rental vehicle is strongly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Silvana's place. A very beautiful location in a wonderful landscape. The house and the apartment itself are very charming and comfortable and also really well furnished. The terrace is incredible! Silvana's sister gave us a lot of useful informations on the region, especially on where to get the best ricotta ice cream :)
We would definitely come back again!
We truely enjoyed our stay on the farm.
The place is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. The pictures are all truthful, but the reality is even more captivating.
We have two children 8 and 11 who were totally taken by the cats and dogs
and spend a lot of time playing with them.
The beds are very comfortable and eventhough we stayed in August, we never felt too hot at any time. The whole house is very tastefully furnished.
The terasse is one of the most beautiful places you can imagine and we even had our lunches there because the canopy kept it shady.
Since the sunsets and the whole evening atmosphere was so amazing we were not able to get ourselves to try out the recommended restaurants.
Silvana is very organized, helpful and friendly and very approchable.
We are already looking forward to coming back in two years, thank you for creating such an interesting and beautiful oasis.

We had a wonderful time in this real farm. The house perfectly fit our expectations and needs. The welcome was very warm and the host was ready to answer any question. The farmyard was most appreciated by the children. Many thanks to Amalia and Silvana, we hope to meet you again.
Consigliatissimi!"
We loved this place, the people, the atmosphere!
Silvana was so welcoming and giving great tips by email. From our 1st contact I was charmed. Then arriving to the villa we had both her Sister Amalia and her mom to welcome us. They were lovely, took an hour to answer all our questions, offering help and guidance. We received fruits, water, wine and even fine local pastries to enjoy the start of our holidays! During our stay Amalia did everything she could for our confort. She even came cooking for us delicious local Sicilian food. Everything was really perfect and we couldn't imagine better place to spend our 2 weeks of holidays. Sea is very close. Sea side is amazing. The cities around too for tourism (Ragusa, Noto, Modica and Syracusa). The house is really 5 stars. We cannot wait to come back soon we hope! Thank you again to Silvana and Amalia.
We were very well hosted. Got lots of information before getting there. Many activities offered.
Great location between exploitation and relaxation.
The only this is about pricing for dinner that might be not the same as advertised.
Really recommend to and traveler from Honeymooner to family with kids. Thank you Silvana and Amalia!
We thoroughly enjoyed our six night stay in the villa with a sea view. This is a beautiful old renovated farmhouse. We were a group of five and the four bedrooms provided the perfect space. The kitchen was amply equipped with all we needed for morning coffee and light meals. Our favourite space was the large stone terrace overlooking the farm and the distant sea.
Communication with both Sylvana and Amalia was outstanding from the first contact. We were welcomed on our arrival by Amalia. She kindly brought cannoli and sparkling water after our long journey. She spent over an hour showing us the space and giving us information about the region. They provided us with a long list of ideas for activities, sights and restaurants. They responded to all requests and inquiries promptly.
We appreciated the fresh produce, the eggs from the farm coop and fresh warm milk from the dairy cows.
We would highly recommend this choice to anyone seeking an authentic experience in rural Sicily.

Quindi benvenuti e sentitevi a casa!
Ever since childhood the lodging was the norm at home.
Despite the subsequent choices us have carried away, we are were born and grew in Ragusa.
Today only Amalia lives in Ragusa with her young family, working close to our guests, welcoming them as dear friends visiting us, with care and attention.
Marina graduated in Architecture in Florence and now lives at Empoli, while Silvana lives in Florence, where she studies Medical.
Feeling the nostalgia of the Sicilian sun and the warm welcome of the Sicilians, was born the desire, a dream shared by the whole family, to convey the emotions tied to the traditions and beauty of our land by revaluing the properties of the family, along with the pleasure of 'hospitality.
The brightness at the bottom is not only hospitality. It's 'communication, in all its forms conventional or artistic, curiosity to know and rediscover our-selves through new experiences, new friends, new adventures and travels. Yes, traveling Paris and Madrid, the city lived longer, from Norway to Tunisia, from Jerusalem to the Salto del Angel, and throughout Italy ... that's where I've been experimenting kitchens and music. We love the couscous and sour; the Ukijo-and Okusai and many Japanese friends increase the "desire to Japan."
With Airbnb all this is renewed with your journey ... to our home!
So welcome and feel at home!
