About This Listing
Your bedroom has a comfortable queen sized bed that sleeps two. There's a sliding door that opens to a private deck in the back yard, as well as a private bathroom with a tub and shower. Hear the ocean while you sleep! Close to Hwy. 1 bike route.
You'll have your own room and bathroom with tub and shower. There's a door that opens to a deck and back yard. We also have another room with a futon that is available to use by arrangement, for an additional fee. Nearby is a park with a trail leading to the beach. In a few minutes you can walk to restaurants and to the resort that has a very nice bar (with live music sometimes) and restaurant.
You have access to the downstairs bedroom, bathroom and outside deck. Free parking on the street.
Your room includes coffee or tea and a continental breakfast.
You will have the downstairs to yourselves, as our main living space is upstairs. I'll bring your (continental) breakfast down to you at a pre-arranged time.
Our part of the Monterey Bay area is known for beautiful beaches, redwood forests, state parks, Pinot Noir and proximity to Bay Area cities San Francisco, Oakland and Palo Alto. We are also near Santa Cruz, Monterey, Carmel, Point Lobos and Big Sur- lots to do and see! Seascape Resort in the neighborhood is the venue for many events and weddings.
I can help you with directions and things to do- such as wine tasting, bike trails, and local events.
It's best to arrive by car. You can get around by bus, but it's time-consuming and not very convenient. Many people bike here but mostly for recreation, since there are bike trails and beautiful scenery nearby.

Clean, cozy, great location. Cheri was exceptional. Warm and friendly, not far from the beach, quiet street, lovely room looking out to the outdoor porch.
We had a nice stay here. Cheri was nice and respected our privacy. The neighborhood is very quiet.
Cheri was a wonderful host, very friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable, and I really liked the back deck to get some fresh air. It was a busy weekend trip for me, and the location was very convenient for getting to Aptos, Capitola, and the Seascape Resort. I highly recommend it!
Really nice and clean room. Close to the beach, very good breakfast. Cheri is a friendly and helpfull host.
Nice appartment, located 5 min. walking to the beach. Free parking. Everything was clean. Cheri offered a good mix of hospitality and privacy and she made us delicious breakfast. 15 min drive to Santa Cruz.
The host greeted us with some ice water and chatted about the area, giving us tips on where to eat and suggestions of some things we may want to see during our stay.
The description was accurate for the room & breakfast.
The community was very nice and friendly, a bit more foggy than we expected.
Cheri was an excellent host who greeted us each morning with a wonderful dish of fresh fruit and berries, with yogurt and fresh muffins. These were plenty to carry us through to lunch.

About the Host, Cheri
I'm a French and English teacher, with 2 grown kids and a husband. Now that the kids are living elsewhere, we have room to welcome happy travelers. I love to hike and bike in the area. We enjoy the farmers' markets and produce stands, and I can safely say that my hobby is cooking, baking, collecting and making up recipes.
When not working, I'm probably traveling. The world is a big place, endlessly fascinating and worthy of the effort and expense it takes to experience it!
When home, we enjoy the local jazz scene; my husband sings jazz.
