A charming private house with a large garden and fruit trees, vegetables & herbs, right on the edge of the spectacular desert. A warm and relaxing place to stay, this house is great for a single guest, a couple or an entire family.

The space

Check-in: 3pm, check-out: 12 noon.

If you'd like groceries for breakfast (vegetables, eggs, bread, cheeses, tahini): 50 shekels per person.

Guest access

The house has several unique features - lovely patio with an area for lighting a fire, a herb garden, mud brick arches and a fireplace with plenty of firewood. We also have free WiFi, a fruit and vegetable garden, and of course - a gate leading directly to the wild desert.

Interaction with guests

I'm almost always around Mitzpe, and if I'm not - one of my friends can usually help if there's any need.

Other things to note

If you are travelling from Tel Aviv to Eilat or to Sinai, Mitzpe Ramon is a really stunning location to stop and relax, before continuing your journey. It is also a center for desert hiking, jeeps tours, stargazing and other adventures.
Mitzpe Ramon is a very small town, surrounded by the mighty desert, on the cliff overlooking Makhtesh Ramon - a unique geological phenomenon. There are lots of locations to hike or drive to, and plenty of serene and quiet gems you can find in the desert.
On the other hand, in Spice Roads Quarter (formerly the "industrial zone") you can find galleries, vintage boutique shops, artisan shops, pubs and my own artisan carpentry workshop and gallery - you're more than welcome to visit!

This was a really unique house that made the perfect base for exploring the Negev and the Makhtesh. The location was quiet and on the edge of town, yet very close to shops, studios, and restaurants in the Spice Quarter. The back deck is perfect for stargazing and if you're lucky you'll get to see a herd of goats graze on the leaves on fence while you enjoy pastries from the local bakery!

Avital was a really great host. We were a close drive to the Mitzpe and Avital organized a great camel riding tour for us. The apartment was very rustic, but kept up well. I gave it 4/5 starts because it is the south there were quite a lot of bugs, and since there was no air conditioner we were very hot even with the breeze which made it hard to sleep.

We came to Avital's place during the weekend of my husband's birthday. Avital's place is a cozy, warm and romantic place, fully equiped to make the gormet dinner you planned for your beloved spouse :). It's placed on the outskirts of Mizpe Ramon, if you would like to take a walk in the desert but also about 5 min walk from Mitzpe's industrial area where you can find intriguing workshops, restaurants and bars. The place didn't have an AC, but we had a cool desert wind during the evenings. All in all, we had a great time and we recommend this place for everyone.

Avital's place has just the right balance; it's very peaceful but you can get to shops and interesting galleries in a few minutes. It's sober but everything is beautifully made. The desert is just outside the door and yet you can still go to the supermarket. I had a great stay and I highly recommend it.

The house is exactly as described and was really clean. It lies on the edge of the town. If you leave through the backyard, you're almost in the desert. Everything in Mitzpe Ramon is in walking distance. The house has lots of occasions for lounging and relaxing. Avital was really friendly and gave us an introduction to Mitzpe Ramon and gave us good recommendations. It is also worth visiting his gallery and chatting with him! Thanks for this wonderful time!

I create wood crafts and natural rustic furnitures. You can find Some of my work at the house, and you are also very wellcome to drink coffee at my gallery, ATAR BNIA ("construction site" in Hebrew). I work mainly with wood and mud.
