This was the second year that my homeschool group board members stayed at Round Mountain Inn. The space is well suited to our small group of 7 to work in. The house is clean and well maintained with a well stocked kitchen for cooking.
My family of five stayed in Tobin's guest ranch for a long Memorial Day weekend and we couldn't have been happier! The home itself is so quaint and cozy - we loved it! It is very rustic (no internet, little cell signal, critters that like to snoop around), but that just added to the charm for us! The property is very large and beautiful and, while we did venture out to Balcones Park for hiking a couple of times, we honestly would have been content to just let the kids explore the property while we sat on the porch watching the cows the entire time. The house is a bit difficult to find - the address does not match the GPS coordinates if you use (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) or apple maps - but that is to be expected with an old, off-the-beaten-path property! Tobin warned us about this, and she was great about trying to give as many directions as possible to accommodate this fact. Once we found it the initial time it was simple enough to locate it afterward. We had a wonderful experience, and the kids have already asked when we can go back!
Tobin was easy to communicate with and the house was as described. Great for a remote getaway.
Response from Tobin:
Thanks for the feedback. This farmhouse was built in 1885 wind and rain noise will always be part of the charm that everyone enjoys. We had an area where bats were getting in the wall and this was what was causing the odor.. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention .. It was great having you as our guest ..tobin
