One of the joys of travelling is , meeting up with friends!
Checking in late in the evening after a long day I was in for the biggest surprise, my host was the son of a dear friend who I had not seen for nearly 25+yrs.
Was just delightful.
Nirvan and his parents Sapta and Sudarshana were perfect hosts and made sure we were comfortable and every need catered for. They looked after us over and above what would be expected and made special curd and rice for me when I was ill. Basically they made us a part of the family and shared their time with us to help us with our visit. This is a lovely family and Nirvan deserves every success with this venture. The rooms are large, clean and beautifully designed and the guest wing has its own sitting room and kitchen facilities. I cannot praise this home from home enough.
Highly recommend staying at The Abode. Nirvan and his father went out of their way to accommodate my shifting schedule which was quite kind of them. The interior design of the place made it a pleasant place to relax after roaming around Kathmandu. The room I stayed in was very clean and peaceful. Next time I'm in the area, I'll be staying here again. Thanks for everything!
Nirvan and his dad Sapta were great hosts. They went out of their way to help me, get a taxi, deal with money exchange, recharge sim card, extend my ticket. The house is gorgeous and had hot water for showers every time I took one. This is a big deal in Nepal. I would definitely recommend people stay here if you want the warm, personal feeling of staying at a local's home. Thank you to both of you.
My parents stayed at the abode for a couple of nights. They were pleased with the quiet location and how close it was from the airport. They were also impressed but the kind hospitality from Nirvan. They would definitely recommend it to family, friends and anyone considering staying in the abode .
I was a tad late due to me not being able to inform Nirvan about my arrival. But Host's father was on hand to receive and guide my driver to the location precisely, whilst making me feel welcome.
Highly hospitable hosts, the abode is ideal for a worthy retreat from the hustle and bustle of the streets of kathmandu.
The abode's Courtyard is definitely one of the quaintest I've seen in recent times. Serene, with a touch of Simple elegance, ideal compliments for a great book.
