Our comfortable 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite features several private balconies where you can take in the beauty of the island. Each bedroom features a large King bed, and there is an additional queen sleeper sofa in the living room to accommodate up to 6 guests if desired. Also for your convenience, our suite features a kitchenette with a two burner stove-top, along with pots and pans for basic food preparation.

I stayed with some colleagues of mine in this apartment for a whole week of conference in Honolulu. The apartment is very conveniently located, 2 minutes from the conference center, 5 minutes from the beach, shopping centers and restaurants, and very close to Waikiki (all are walking distances). The apartment was very clean and has a beautiful ocean view. Communication with the owner was very good before my stay and check in and check out went very smoothly with the hotel. I highly recommend it!
We absolutely loved the 2 bedroom suite at Ala Moana Condominium Hotel. Great location, beautiful views, very clean & so spacious. The photos do not do this great 2 bedroom suite any justice. We didn't want to leave.. It was our home away from home.

Location of the hotel was great, convenient for shopping and restaurants. Unit was clean and having 2.5 bathrooms was nice, with two kids. Definitely would stay here again. Extra kudos to the owner for extending our stay for a day due to Tropical Storm Flossie!
It is pretty much as advertised -- clean, plenty of space and located next to the ginormous Ala Moana mall (about 20 mins./$30 cab fare from airport). Whether or not being next to a ginormous mall is good or bad is subjective, but it is certainly convenient. Waikiki Beach and downtown are all within 15-min. (or so) walking distance.
I traveled as a party of four (two couples) and it is an ideal set-up for that arrangement. Each of the bedrooms, as well as the main living room, has its own balcony, which is a great touch. Kitchenette, microwave and coffee machine are all useful. Note: There is a Korean market (Palama) with ready-made food nearby, on Makaloa St. as well as an ace Korean BBQ place (678, owned by comedian Kang Ho-dong).
We used the sauna/steam room on the third floor (next to gym) every morning. We appeared to be the only people using either room. Both rooms felt brand new. Also, the adjacent Ala Moana Park is a nice run in the mornings.
Note that there is a $20-per-day parking fee, if you're renting a car.
Trying to think of a downside, and there really isn't one. The only caveat I can think of has nothing to do with the place and more my preconception going in -- I expected it to be more of a residential condo, but it is very much a hotel with standard big-hotel appearance and lobby foot traffic. But that didn't have a negative affect on my experience at all.
So... in short: recommended.
The apartment is part of the Ala Moana hotel. It would have helped if this had been mentioned in the booking confirmation! It is situated on a high floor and has a reasonable view of the ocean. It is BIG! With 2 large double bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and 2.5 bathrooms, it has plenty of accommodation and is in good condition albeit in need of some attention to the faucets in some of the bathrooms. It is well equipped with TVs in all rooms.
The wifi is OK but if you are looking to rely on it for business, it might be better to take your own wi-fi router and use the ethernet in the second bedroom (as I did) as the signal is a bit weak in places otherwise.
You have access to the gym, which is quite good for a hotel gym and generally not too busy (at least at 7am, it wasn't). It is adjacent to the large shopping mall with the usual shops, restaurants and a food court.
All in all, this was a very comfortable and spacious solution to my hotel needs and I would recommend it.
Great condo, great location, great size. It was quite luxurious for only 3 guests, and having a kitchenette was a bonus. Not a full-size kitchen, but that wasn't much of an issue. I'd be more than happy to stay there again.
Staying in this penthouse was wonderful. With a large group of friends staying on Maui, five of us decided to visit Waikiki for a few days to party and shop and take in the excitement. The condo was extremely comfortable, with more than enough space for all of us to come and go. One of the bedrooms had its own entrance, which was nice when the two people who stayed there were out late while another friend slept on the pull-out couch. We used the gym and the pool, both of which had attendants giving out towels, etc. Although we spent most of our time in Waikiki, the walk across the canal was not bad, and it turns out that the beach closest to our apartment was nicer anyway. I thought this apartment would be a compromise between a large, clean space for five, and an ideal location, but it was great. The staff at the front desk were very helpful with directions and there were always taxis waiting downstairs. On the last day, it was nice to leave our luggage with the concierge while we explored the city for a few more hours between checkout and the time of our flight back to Maui. This is the perfect place to stay with a small crew.
We enjoyed staying here. It's a bit pricy, and you have to add $20 parking fee to your daily rental price, but it has a nice view, and is conveniently located, right next to a huge shopping center.
Always, the pictures look better than the reality, so keep that in mind!

Moana shopping center connected via the air bridge. Good beach across the park as well. Be sure to wear thongs to the pool. The pool is great but the area around pool has a very coarse grit coating and is not nice to walk on in bare feet!
Overall the hotel is good but could do with a lounge bar. Use the tour desk as they have good rates. We rented a car for $70 per day. Same car same company would have cost us $120 per day if we booked it ourselves via the web.
We would stay here again and recommend it.
