Comfortably furnished, (double bed & down comforter, 2 easy chairs, walk-in closet, desk and chair) in beautiful Capitol Hill. Downtown Denver: 15 blocks; 1 block from 2 bus routes, close to parks, restaurants, pubs, music venues, shopping. Please visit my other listings: "Suite of Rooms" and "Sweet and Sunny in Capitol Hill"

The space

This is a medium-sized room at 15.5' x 10.5', with an adjoining area that serves as storage, dressing room or reading area. This adjoining area measures 10' x 4', not including lighted walk-in closet. The bathroom for this room is right across the hall and is shared with one other guest bedroom.
The house itself is a charming Victorian with a sunny southern exposure and hardwood floors throughout. The house is located one block from Cheesman Park in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. There is free street parking on both sides of the street all throughout the neighborhood.

Guest access

Guests are free to use the common areas of the house, kitchen, dining room, living room. Bedrooms are considered private and off-limits. The other area of the house that is private and off-limits is my art studio in the back of the house. It is frequently very messy, as this is the nature of art-making.

Interaction with guests

I tend to adapt myself to the needs of my guests. If someone has their own agenda or just wants to be left alone, I respect that. Otherwise, I love sharing my wonderful city, and so am always available for information about what to do in Denver, where to go for great food - so many places - or how to get around the city.

Cynthia's house was very convenient to the downtown conference hotel. Busses on Colfax were frequent. She was very welcoming. The ability to keep a few items in the fridge was a great help for the start of my days. Cynthia also helped my colleague and me get oriented in the neighborhood and find a restaurant.

Great for people traveling on a budget. I stayed in the summer; quite hot with no AC. Cynthia did have a fan to place in the window at night, which helped.

Cynthia's quaint and charming old Victorian is in an excellent location, and is a great stay for the price. It was clean and she was flexible with us when our arrival time varied from what we expected. The location offers easy access to shops and restaurants, as well as a bike-share station, which offered quick mobility around the city. Cynthia is warm and personable at check-in and otherwise kept to herself during our stay.

This place is great for travelers who need a comfy, convenient location on a budget. It's in a lovely old Victorian house in a charming neighborhood, with so many places to eat within walking distance! Cynthia is a warm and helpful hostess. Check-in was easy. She made sure I had ready access to an iron and board, which I needed several times. I loved that she provided plenty of hangers, as well as a small chest of drawers. There was a desk to work at. The fluffy bath towel was a bonus. I especially appreciated the nightstand with a lamp, so I could read in bed and didn't have to either use my mobile flashlight or get out of bed to turn out a light when I finished. (Little details help so much!) The room gets just a touch warm on hot days, but the fan made it comfy. I was happy with my stay, and would come back again.
